  1. Why not run a copper down the chute, that's what I do. I have the same setup, corner riggers and I either run cores or copper down the middle. Total Chaos
  2. Friend of mine was out yesterday and was 9 for 18 with a 12 and 13lb Brown. Lots of marks and bait. Not sure why some guys are struggling. Total Chaos
  3. Thanks Steve! Yup someone always has to ruin a good thing. The spammers were so bad I just got sick of it. Couldn't block them fast enough. Brian
  4. The boards I bought was 1"x6"x8' but they have other sizes. They were 3/4" thick. Staples go right in no problem. The thin plywood that was rotted on yours was probably luan. That's what was under mine from the factory. I'm no expert but mine came out nice. I hand sewn all of mine because I just couldn't fold the material around good enough to make me happy. Other than that its fairly easy to do it and it saves a ton of money. Total Chaos
  5. Forget the pressure treated boards use the nice pvc board they sell at Lowes. It's lighter and doesn't absorb water. If you need foam buy it on ebay. I used 4" closed cell foam as that doesn't retain water either. The vinyl and trim I got from greatlakesskipper.com. SS staples are a must. I built 3 for my Baha for about $100 and they look sharp. 6. I have 4 Uglystik Lite, ultra light rods (7ft, 2-6lb test) paired with Okuma Magda m15 linecounter reels. These are in excellent condition. I doubt you could tell they've been used they're so flawless. I used them for Browns on LO. I've taken Browns to 13lbs and Salmon to 12lbs. $60ea and I'll ship for extra $. Probably about $15 to ship them. Paypal excepted. Total Chaos ONLY 2 LEFT
  7. Yes I used to have a website. To many hackers ruined it so I just post here if I have anything to say. Total Chaos
  8. Sunday I got 2 Lakers and 3 Kings. Had a friend out today and did 5 Browns, 2 Lakers and a King. The fish are there you just have to work for them. Total Chaos
  9. If you're going to have just 2 for that area go with a 400 and a 500ft section. Mark them every hundred ft with shrink tubing that way you can run them shorter if need be. However most of the time from july on you'll be running them completely out. Total Chaos
  10. Look even deeper, we had 3 on Sunday 190fow and deeper. Total Chaos
  11. I have 4 cv20's that I use for my dipsys. They've never let me down. 1000ft of 20lb wire fills it right to the top so the counters are accurate with them. If you use the 30's put backing on so the reel is filled to the top or your counters will be off. I like the 20's because of the light weight and faster retrieve rate. JMO Total Chaos
  12. I've been using snubbers for 25yrs and never broke one. I fished a Pro-am on another boat a couple years ago and they didn't use snubbers. They said they never had a breakoff. First fish, first morning hits the dipsy and I grab the rod and one quick rip and snap, fish gone. They were using 50lb leaders. HHHmmm I think I'll stick with snubbers. For what it's worth I use the Dream Weaver snubbers. Total Chaos
  13. Launch out of the state launch in Mexico and we were fishing 50-75fow in the top 40ft. I heard they moved out deeper now but same area. Spoons, spoons and more spoons. Uv gators were best for me. Total Chaos
  14. Your fishfinder must be broke. Off the plant last weekend was crazy with a mix of Kings, Browns and Lakers. We had Kings to 18lbs. Other boats did well also. Total Chaos
  15. PD Bouy, I couldn't move my axle back becausethe spring mounts are welded to the frame instead of being ubolted like normal. It would have been nice to move it back. I just moved the boat ahead on the trailer and it's fine now. I will make 1 more adjustment after I dump the boat in next week. Other than that it tows like a champ. Total Chaos
  16. I've owned 2 of them. The lastest I just bought in August of last year. I bought the aluminum I beam trailer and I believe they are and excellent trailer. No issues with either of them. They seem well built. I'm glad I bought them. I currently have the dual axle, 7000lb aluminum trailer with bunks and disk brakes. Pevious trailers owned; Loadrite, Caulkins, 5 Starr and Eagle and the Venture is by far the best IMO. Total Chaos
  17. I took a Fish Doctor class once. I learned a thing or 2 from it. Worth the $$$ Total Chaos
  18. By the pm's I got, Steelie1 was first for the tube file and Steelydan was first with the spoon box. Just an FYI so it's fair. Total Chaos
