  1. I'd take the yak down to the south end, but I tend to prefer the south end in general over the north... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  2. Pizzaboy you have a PM. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  3. I was going to let sol respond but his computer's down...so here goes. but I'm sure he'll chime in once its back. Well, we caught one less fish than you, FG WTG though! Being our first time up, saturday morning was more about scoping out the water and checking out the different areas...structure, flats, channels. never found a lot of bait, but marked a few good hooks and once we zeroed in a promising area and set up our run, we had a couple rips in a very specific spot- one I thoguht for sure was going to put one in the boat, but inevitably they were gone before we knew it....and no they definitely weren't shoals, so must have just been tentative biters. water was perfect saturday- just a very light chop. Bob went back out alone on Sunday to some rain and killer whitecaps. Seems the one rod rule tipped the odds even worse towards the fish, but sounds like he got a nice leisurely, but bumpy cruise out of the deal. oh well, step one- learning the water- Done. Step two- catching fish- will happen next time then! NM
  4. Hey ones better than none! What were the water temps? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  6. Sounds like a nice fish zach but what were YOU doing with a firetiger anyway??? welcome to the club!! [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  7. zach and i were talking about the big bait thing last week. seems no one locally stocks the really mammoth suckers...you'd have you'd have to order enough to least you a year or get a bunch of guys to go in together on it. that said, I've heard the bait shop on clifford past culver has some with decent size at times. I'd still do conesus. with two guys you can still work it ok without the docks. just drive it off and back onto the trailer. its a bit of a step into the boat from the end of the concrete where the dock is normally attached but thats the worst of it [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  8. WTG! Good to see things picking back up down there So... do you even REMEMBER the honeymoon??.? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  11. Tigers certainly wouldn't help with anything other than smaller juvenile pickerel and even then would probably affect the panfish populations more. Esox tend to predate on baitfish much more so than sportfish I would make a call to the DEC to get some expert opinions on potential remedies [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  12. probably be a visual inspection only...they don't man the booth after labor day. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  13. I'm sure I saw you out there but didn't know it Old Man. I got out there before dawn. Glad I have a GPS. That fog was incredible. I would have been driving in circles for hours called it a day round 2:30- after the supposed minor period, which did nothing for me. It was a tough day for sure. I heard of one on that got away but didn't see any caught either. I trolled fast slow, high low, deep and as shallow as 4 ft. Casted a bunch as well. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  19. Gonna be wet and c-c-cold on Saturday. High of 48...in the 30s at the start. Fortunately winds will only be 11 mph but break out the winter gear for sure! Will have to do some casting in the morning just to get the blood warmed and moving [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  21. There is some pretty cool video of Muskies chasing spinners pulled directly behind the ball. Pretty sure you can find some on youtube and I think the guy has a DVD out as well. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  22. I've heard of people using riggers, but not dipsies, however most just flatline with diving cranks.
  23. Hey zach I showed my wife the first pic...she really liked it with the lures against the aged wood background. She thought it would make a nice framed picture. In the meantime it's now the wallpaper on my iPad nice job on the photography [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
