  1. Glad to hear that someone is at least finding a few. I trolled all the way from Lodi to 2 miles north of Sampson yesterday on the east side only catching one dink salmon and a small laker about 1/2 mile north of Sampson. Setup on the west side this morning around 7 a little south of the Showboat and headed north. Trolled up the west side well beyond long point from 40' to 200+' and never moved a rod. Turned around and headed back south well past Severn, then crossed the lake to give the east side a go and same story! NADA!! 9&1/2 hours (a new record for me on this lake without a fish). I told ERABBIT today we're changing the name from Seneca to the "Dead Sea". Next week, headed to the St. Lawrence to jig for a few pike - something's gotta change.
  2. Trolled the west side for 3 1/2 hours this morning - caught lots of weeds and headed in for lunch. With the heavy rain headed this way for the afternoon might sit it out at camp for the rest of the day
  3. Have the little woman with me today so won't be on the water real early , thanks for the info Nick. Hope to be out there soon! Rick
  4. Wow! Busy day. Sounds like the lakers have finally woken up
  5. Sounds like a pretty good morning! Hoping to find a few before the rains bring in a new batch of debris over the weekend. Could use a little busier day than it's been all spring.
  6. A few fish are better than no fish! Hoping the rain and wind allow us to get out there for at least a few hours over the weekend. Thanks for the report
  7. Yes, that was me and I remember seeing your trophy. I was all over the lake on Saturday looking for anything promising. The one landlock we boated was just north of Sampson though didn't mark much of anything there in the usual spots. Saw lots of bait on the west side but not much of anything on the east side.
  8. Granted the weather has been wacky, to say the least and lots of debris, but I've been fishing this lake for over 20 years and can't believe how tough it is this year! For certain, the worst I've experienced. One small landlock and one avg. laker yesterday ( 6+ hours on the lake), and one landlock today after 5 hours not moving a rod. We'll be into fleas and weeds in another couple weeks and never even saw a "spring bite". Sorry for the rant, just getting frustrated, looking for insights, ideas, or suggestions on what's going on with the fish or what to try next. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Did you go out this morning Ed? And I was hoping it would get a bit better by Friday this week but doesn't sound that way!
  10. We broke the skunk today too - finally! Pretty nice 20" landlock down 25' over 80' on a DW SS Mixed Veggie spoon. Ran into loads of junk on the lake - must have had some pretty heavy rain up here this week!
  11. Better than I did the past 2 days - keep it going!
  12. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sorry guys, all the fish are GONE! After a bit of a later than intended start to try and help out a fellow fisherman with a shifting problem, got setup around 8am and trolled from Lodi to Sampson on the east side marking bait from 40' to well over 120' almost the entire way and never moved a rod. Switched colors and styles, speed, etc and decided to try the west side from Long Point south - same story for another hour and 1/2. Dropped off my guest at 2pm and decided to run to the south end to give that a whirl and marked next to nothing. Sky was getting pretty ugly so decided to call it a skunk at 4 and run back. No idea what to try in the am except maybe a different lake, UGH! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  21. I'll be headed that way outta Lodi - will give you a shout if anything is working well this week. Gotta be better than last week
  22. Well you'd better get the boat up soon Ed, I certainly haven't been killin 'em yet so the fish must be waiting for you to turn on!
  23. Nice Brown! I wasn't out on Sunday but did manage to pull out a decent Rainbow down on the south end Saturday. Hoping the water temps come up just a tad this week!
  24. Had a similar day from Lodi all the way to the south end. One rainbow off a flat line - nothing on the boards or the riggers. It has to start warming up soon!
  25. Well it was a gorgeous afternoon with the lake like glass but nothing doing with the fish. I went up the east side from Lodi 1/2 way to Sampson from 40' to 150' and didn't mark a fish! Think tomorrow it'll be the opposite and head south on the west side. Still much better than working
