  1. Going on 10 years with an Optima starting marine battery. V6 Johnson outboard, 9.9 Yamaha high thrust kicker. One or the other is always charging. Running 4 riggers, auto pilot, radar, f.f. gps.
  2. I started wine making a few years ago. You live in the best part of the country for that. Very rewarding and addicting .
  3. Where is it located?
  4. You will have to drill it, and use an eze-out.
  5. I run the probe on the forth. Only drop it when I need it, and never run a line on it anymore.
  6. Use regular crimps with a plastic bead in between. It acts as a bearing.
  7. Hughes Marina near Pultneyville
  8. Look up renosky spoons. they bought pirate out. that color is still avaiable
  9. Dennis.. Hope you get more bites on your new rods than you did this post..
  10. amazon has them
  11. I would mount a 10 horse, 4 stroke kicker on it. Less fuel, stealth trolling, less hours on main, and security.
  12. The circuit breaker on the downrigger protects the downrigger circuit. You need a fuse at the power source (fuse block) to protect the wiring. It will not draw from the downrigger, it is not a power source. I have mine wired to the battery switch, fused, and the power is disconnected when the switch is off.
  13. Hey Sonny, Don't blame the GPS. You will still lose a lot of gear and hang bottom. Old habits are hard to break. Just remember you are the only guy lucky enough to find your rods after you drop them in the lake.
  14. Airmar also makes the transducer that is shipped with Lowrance. However, they are built to their specs.
  15. The last I knew, Airmar makes most of the transducers for the top fishfinders. The p66 works well with my lcx-37 and outperformed the oem,
  16. 303 Sunblocker. Been using it on my '97 Red Lund since birth, Still looks like new
  17. Doesn't say where "local" is to you. I ordered mine from fish307 online.
  18. Most silver plated spoons are lacquer dipped. You need to strip them first (lacquer thinner), polish or buff with red rouge, clean and re-dip. Spay lacquer will work resulting in limited shine, jewelers lacquer thinned with lacquer thinner used as a dip, is much better. Beware of high humidity when re-lacquering it will cause a white haze to form.
  19. I use the older Okuma Catalina size 25 which they discontinued. I have three wire rigs and I am looking at the new Penn's or the Cabelas which look like the old Catalina. As far as the Magna, there must be a reason they are cheaper than the other Okuma's.
  20. Muck shoes or Frogg Togg Check out Amazon.
  21. Bass pro or Seagur both tie well, some of the others don't
  22. Can't go wrong having extra batteries. Electric riggers?
  23. Thanks Tom. Hope you can find a way to keep the online store open. You have a great selection of things we need. I always shop at your site first and get what I want quickly.
