  1. Green dot spinny with a white fly has been the consist hit for me as of late so I haven't spent much time running the peanut ....good to know it's still as consistant as it was last yr.
  2. Ed, That peanut is the go to lure for you lately ....isn't it?
  3. Absolutely the best around ..... part of my daily routine .....
  4. Nice Going Jason ......bet those guys had a great time. Nice rainbow .... It was nice talking to you yesterday
  5. Split, You mentioned there will be a few more derbies in the finger lakes. Any info/dates on the other(s)?
  6. Way to go Sean ..........nice pics ....... nice fish
  7. That's how our lines looked on Cayuga during the Red Cross Derby .....plus weeds. Anybody know if that's changed at all?
  8. Just do a search on Big Weenie and you'll find plenty to read. I have some on the way myself. Gary is a great guy to deal with and his flies are great too.
  9. Nice going Jason! Those Big Weenies continue to do the job for you, don't they? Haven't gotten out on Seneca for a bit. How were the fleas down there?
  10. Hit Cayuga out of Sheldrake Sunday, out on the water by 6. We started north on the west side then turned south and trolled just north of taughannock. Good consistent marks at 80' all day but no bite after mid-morning. First laker in the boat was just slightly larger than the spin doctor he was chasing. came on the wire dipsey rod. Next laker was in the 5 lb. range and came off the rigger at 70' in 120 fow on an old O&M lure that has been a good consistent spoon for us this yr. The next laker came a bit later off the other rigger on an "I don't know" stinger spoon and was about 6 lbs. Only action after that was fleas, weeds, more fleas, me donating a Slide Diver complete with a green dot SD/white fly to the fish God's then more fleas. It's becoming a tradition for me to donate big $$$$ tackle during the Red Cross while on Cayuga, this being the 2nd yr. in a row. Congrats to all winners!!!!!
  11. Thanks Splitshot!
  12. Are we supposed to get something in the mail after registering? I registered on-line before the 15th. Couldn't find anything on what to expect.
  13. I absolutely feel the same way. I was watching a different board when I was getting started a few years ago but as soon as I found this one it became the only one I look at. The guys on here are so helpful. Sure makes you want to give some of that back when you can.
  14. Thanks Z, we had the details of your 6/19 report in mind when we set up Sat. morning.
  15. Jason, How the heck are you? Still fishing on Seneca or have you been spending your time up on Ontario?
  16. Thanks guys ...... Ed, not sure how long I can keep that up ..... I agree they are tasty William, on the speed ...... good advise from you, so THANKS!!!!. Action started just a bit north of where you saw us last Saturday.
  17. Hit the water with my partner Bob a little before 6 this morning. Set up south of Lodi Point heading north running off the riggers and wire dipsy's. We stayed in shallow (30-60 FOW) hoping to attract some landlocks, browns and maybe a rainbow. Marked a lot of bait and what appeared to be fish in among them but nothing was happening. We decided to bump the speed up a bit and shortly after the fun began. My rigger fired first and we had a nice 16"-17" landlock. After returning that one it wasn't long before that same rigger fired again and we landed a 22" rainbow. By 7:00 we had landed several more landlocks for a total of 5 fish, all returned to fight another day. North of the Point we got a decent laker, don't recall the details and then the big trill of the morning .... a nice brown hit an old O&M lure of Bob's that put on quite a show. That fish made several runs and tangled up a few lines but was brought in with some great team work ..... great line clearing and net handling if I do say so myself!!! Great morning!!!! All fish came in shallow and aside from the O&M, most fish came on a Stinger "I don't know" (red and white with blue/red dots on the white)
