Here is my buddy with his first mature, my scale wouldn't register but as you can see he's a big boy, over 20 just don't know how far over 20 23 maybe. And my buddy fished was fishing 105 down working cold water on the inside waters saturday and pulled a 12 pound brown so he stuck it out cause he couldn't buy any kings the landed this 20lb brown both fish came on NKB. It's going on the wall, what a tank.
I'm wondering about this too. I have 13 torpedo's that are plain lead, what is everyone else doing to them and have you noticed a difference in action?
Try Reef Runner Ripsticks off your divers or leadcore, we fish of ton of them in Ohio waters and smash fish on them. Another hot program is snap weighed 800 series Reef Runners let out 50 clip on 3 oz then go to a total of 145-220 back, it's deadly in the deeper water off boards. Not sure how long you guys run your leaders off your regular divers but 10-14 ft has been working best over here.

The blue diamond ones are the most affordable roller wire rods, all the others are 100 or better. they are nice rods a couple friends have them.
I personally don't think you need them though. Heartlands, TDR's with a Twilli is fine IMO and many others as I put up a post like this a awhile back when I was buying. Put your money into quality reels instead.
Shimano Clarus makes cork handle steelie and salmon casting rods in a variety of flavors with lifetime warranty and can be had for around 70-80 a piece, I have a jiggin stick IM-7 blank great rod and action.
I do agree that cork can and will get chewed up for trolling but have at it! you can always buy wraps for them.
Did you try a new battery? do you have an Auto Pilot on your boat? did anything else change on your vessel after the erratic readings? did you double check your battery connections.
And a killer fish cleaning station, clean nice bathrooms, block and bag ice, places to eat, 2 bait shops. Olcott is great I can't bring myself to fish out of anywhere but it's perfect for the visiting weekend fisherman.
Been once and going again this October. Playa is nice, great beaches and weather. I fished with Captain Rick's we weren't in season for bill's though just took a half day charter caught some fish though. The owner used to be a captain up on Erie nice to talk to an american about bass and walleye fishing, we did't fish with him though. http://captricksfishing.com/
Thanks for that tip, helpful, sometimes I run a smaller below sometimes not Ill be sure to keep that in mind more often. I'm also going to start dropping the SWR a little more.

Mark I think you have caught fish on all these spoons while you have been on my boat.
If you want a walkaround go with a 22-23 if you have the tow vehicle for it. Even a 21 trophy is cramped, the outboard model is okay but still small, the i/o is terrible no room at all. Your better off in a starcraft islander or something.
Bigger is better.
Recieved my reel yesterday. This thing is one bad mofo. I have fished with Tekota's on friends boats many times but not any of the big boys over 600 series, very very nice. I can't wait to tie into a screamer on this reel. I'm teaming it up with a 9 ft Talora copper/leadcore rod which should make for a nice combo.
