  1. 30 browns is a lot of C&R. You can still only keep 3 per person regardless of how many you boat.
  2. WOW that was quick Tom!! I don't know if I got my email from Paypal yet.
  3. Clamped on the netholder.
  4. Actually when I bought the 22' the mast had the weedwacker line tied directly to the mast, no reels involved. There was a grabline to pull the towline to you for setting releases and handlining the board in. There were hooks attached to the canvas framing to wrap the towline on when not in use.
  5. On my 22' Penn Yan I had a mast in the bow and the lines ran back to reels mounted on Traxstech net holders in the track. The net holders are straight up and more rugged than the fixed rodholder. Ran it that way for 2 years until I got an arch. The mast in the bow was mounted through some boards u-bolted to the bow rail. The mast mount was setup that way when I bought the boat.
  6. Some manufacturers make single planer masts that have bases to fit the various track systems. Great Lakes Planers makes a nice product and has "trees" or an arch which is essentially trees with a bar between them. The arch option would help prevent the outward stress you are worried about. Or you could get taller trees and run a rope from one to the other tying them together. If the tracks will allow a "far enough forward" placement of the trees/masts and you have them backed up I'd go for it.
  7. Or get them at just about any good tackle shop around Lake Ontario...
  8. Congrats on the Atlantic! We got one last weekend too, 5 color, stingray gator, 16#'s and a beautiful clean fish.
  9. I put the led rope lights from Cabelas under the gunnels of my Predator. They aren't too bright but will light up the deck for walking around. Nice soft white light on the grey interior. I put brighter led stick lights up infront of the seats to illuminate the floor. I'm happy and spent well under $100 vs. other systems.
  10. Tom, I have a question about weather decisions for the Pro division. I understand that if the weather is good and the fishing day begins, it is the Captain's decisions to quit when the weather turns bad during the day. If there is a small craft advisory in effect at the beginning of the day, will the fishing day for the Pro's begin? It is unclear in the way the wording is on the FB page if it applies to the Pro division. Thanks, Andy
  11. Do you run the ff on "auto" depth or set the bottom limit? Manually set the depth range and see if that helps. I had a similar situation on my 958. I have only used the Airmar 60 thruhull transducer so it wasn't the factory ducer.
  12. For Oswego and Little Salmon you need to leave and return to any port in Oswego or Cayuge Co. For Fair Haven you can also fish from Wayne Co. When I was at Port Bay I would go to Fair Haven the night before and have my guys meet me there in the morning.
  13. http://durasafelocks.com/e-lock/ This is what I just got and matches what you describe.
  14. There's a pin style adapter that fits in the rear rodholder strap and the front mount rod holder mounts on that. Go to Fish307 and look in the downrigger parts schematic and you will see it.
  15. No, I think they posted it on the LOC site last year.
  16. Nov. 1 through May 1st. Typed at the same time.
  17. Adk1, watch this... http://vimeo.com/11210307
  18. Grabbed this from an old post. Clippers are simple. Set the tension and forget it. Anyone can set them and there's never a chance of being set too light or too heavy like pinch pads.
  19. I like a rod length or less. I don't like the thought of pinching a splitshot on my lighter leader. I also don't want the chance of the swivel catching on an eye if a fish makes a run at the boat. Yes the tiny Spros pass thru the eyes fine but you never know.
  20. Wright's is semi-open... No cleaning station and restrooms were locked all day today. The launch is getting good use and the docks seem to be all in. There are only 3 boats in slips. I haven't seen the booth staffed.
  21. Unless the diameter changed since it was introduced, I put two spools on 2 ADP47's and didn't have extra and wasn't overloaded.
  22. I know I've ordered from them. Either my fishfinder or autopilot, can't remember which. No problems regardless.
