King of the lake in canada starts this weekend. Our port fishing really wouldnt have to much to do with a tournament that far away. I agree with Gamble not to many guys out since the nor easter.

Started a little west of sandy and headed east took a lot of cookie cutters on all sorts of stickbaits, one brown on NK gobie off Rigger. Turned around after cowsucker and tested 25 fow. With no luck. Went back in to 9 fow and took a big brown and bigger laker. Not bad being done by 1030

Great advice from everybody. I like line counters mostly because I end up forgetting what number I am on while setting up and end up starting over (My memory is gone).
I have seen guys out pretty far with boats that are too small, please be smart. a fish is not worth getting killed for.
If you dont want to spend alot of money on riggers try torpedo divers. A cheap alternative to downriggers that I use year round torpedodivers.com
I agree with gamble. peanut flies work great ITO flies has a great selection and the green and blue peanut works great. I have also had good days using a spin and glow behind the same spinny.
19 strand is all that I run it is stronger than its competitors and have had no problems with it. I also think the smoked is better than the original seems to catch more fish.
Stingers are good but the paint comes off faster than any other products out there. I mean 45 min on a rigger without a bite and the spoon was a blank. .
silverstreak, DW, and NK. are all great, and I am looking forward to DW green halo out this year.
Ryan from ITO does have a great idea with the 6 inch flies. we used both 4 and 6 inch last year with alot of luck. He made a few up for me, one was the Black Betty which worked great with the 42second paddle, the other was the lucas it worked great with any of my white paddles. And they are priced right.
Good luck
Torpedo also sells a spooler for multiple spools or the larger spools. works great.
The 19 strand is my favorite although i have only used the shiny stuff. (Iam switching to smoked this year)plus it has a few other benefits ( easy to get the fleas off) etc. website: torpedodivers.com
