  1. Any news out of Sandy Pond? Thought I would try that area this weekend. Any news/recommendations greatly appreciated.
  2. Nice report Gray Fox, Sounds like a very enjoyable and productive trip!
  3. That is a beautiful day on the water with family and fish!
  4. Thanks again guys, Great forum.
  5. Hello again, Thanks for the very helpful feedback. You all brought up valid points and I appreciate the help. Thanks again!
  6. Hello, Looking at new/used boats that are easy to trailer in the 19 to 23 foot category. I fish Lake Ontario, Champlain and Lake George. Love them all at different times of the year. Boats that have caught my eye are the Parker 21 ft, Arima 19 ft, Trophy 21 ft and the Sea Swirl Striper, all outboards. I like the looks of the hardtop on the Parker and Arima but not sure if that's a good thing in the summer. Any thoughts on any of these? Other brands? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Happy fishing!
  7. Friday was a steady pick of Browns, standard shallow water tactics. Saturday morning was very slow for us, the water had cooled and cleared up overnight. After weathering the afternoon storms the fish went on a feeding frenzy until dark! The temp had climbed some and the color was back, the major at sunset probably had alot to do with it also. Towers Time was out deep looking for Steelhead and found a couple nice ones (30 inch), Doors and Shake-n-Bake stayed shallow for Browns and scored with the largest going 10 lbs (beautiful clean fish). Met a good crew out of Mass. with a beautiful Parker, they had good luck from Moon Beach all the way to Sodus! Thank you Shade Tree Charters for the storm warning, that storm came in fast and furious. Another fantastic trip, lots of nice folks out there.
  8. Nice Catch! Sure wish we had numbers of Lakers like that in Lake George/Champlain.
  9. Hey Yankee Troller, Yes, the remote (wire remote) controls a servo unit attached to the carb linkage. Easy to install and worked well.
  10. Productive shakedown cruise. East of the chute big boards with stickbaits and one leadcore on a fly rod down the middle. Rapala Vampire (black/silver/bloody nose) and Coyote spoons did the job, mostly the sticks. 1 Coho, 1 Steelhead, 1 Atlantic, 20 Browns . Largest Brown 11 lbs., one 7.5 lbs. on flyrod was exciting! 2.5 MPH was the best speed for us. Trollmaster worked like a charm on the kicker, money well spent. All fishing trips are good but this one was special! Good luck!
  11. Lots of people fishing them at Fairhaven State Park, not sure how the bite was.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys, very helpful as always. Fairhaven it is!
  13. Any action in Fairhaven? Heading out April 17th. Debating whether to hit Mexico/Oswego or Fairhaven. Thanks for any recommendations.
  14. Is late March/early April too early to troll for Browns/Coho in the Fairhaven/Oswego area? Cabin fever is setting in, tired of the hard water.
  15. Is boat still available? If so I would like to arrange a site visit. Thanks. Eric P.
