I am in the market for a gps sonar combo that will communicate with a raymarine 1000 smartpilot, which probably means it needs a nmea 2000 net work connection. im looking for a unit for under a grand. I have previously used lowrance and am looking to switch. I like the raymarine dragonfly but am not sure if it will communicate with my auto pilot. I fish lake Ontario so a dual frequency transducer would be ideal. Any advice would be welcome, thanks Wayne
I am looking for some input on the purchase of a gps sonar combo for under a grand. It has to be able to communicate with a raymarine autopilot s1000 which probably means it has to have a nmea 2000 connection. I have previously used lowrance and am looking to change. I fish lake Ontario.I f any one has a unit their looking to unload I may be interested. Thanks, Wayne
As seen in pic loaded with 160 feet of blood run copper with braid backing. These aren't the fanciest reels in the world but they work excellent. No need for line counters when running copper. These will get your spoons down about 35 feet. I will sell the pair for $55.00 that will include shipping or pick up for45.00. A great purchase for the guy who hasn't run copper yet.
I use a Raymarine S1000 Smart Pilot on a 21 foot Seaswirl Striper for under a $1000.00. You must have Hydraulic steering and a gps to communicate with. It works great
I don't know that I may be of much help in your decision, but I will say that you may want to stay away from Lowrance . They don't last long and are non repairable. See my post in open lake discussion, one gentleman wrote friends don't let friends buy Lowrance. Im personally going with Raymarine only because I have Raymarine autopilot. Good luck
I have a Lowrance HDS7 that crapped out on me. Its only 3 seasons old, so I sent it back to them expecting a repair job, but all they wanted to do is sell me a new one. What a crock of you know what. Nearly a bloody grand for that unit. Anyways I had them send it back to me, and if anyone out there can fix it I will gladly put some coin in your wallet. By the way I politely told Lowrance I will no longer support their product. My name is Wayne and my # is 585 202 1542. Thanks
Originally came with an HDS 7 Lowrance unit. I used the transducer that was already mounted to the boat. I would like 40.00 or best offer. plus shipping, 10.00
As seen in pic, they work like new, with smoothe drags. They are loaded with 150 feet of Bloodrun copper with a braid backing. $35.00 each or 60.00 for the pair
