  1. The weather wasn’t what we were used to this year with the most East winds we have ever experienced on our 18 trips to the Bar in 24 years. But we got out all 6 days. The first practice day before the derby we landed our biggest King at 22 lbs. 1 oz. a day short of a derby money fish! What I noticed this year was a lot more courtesy from 90% of the boats when pulling boards or keeping their diver rods from locking up going by. I counted about 100 boats on Saturday and Tuesday at least 75 boats. We did weigh a nice Laker we landed on the board. For the 6 days Ken and I landed 61 Kings / 10 LT / 1 Coho / 1 Atlantic. Special thanks to Dirty Goose / Crazy Yankee / Reel Excitement / Vision Quest folks for doing fishing reports! We were fighting a fish and the next minute I saw Riding Dirty going by and he was very considerate as we both turned away from each other. Thanks Casey! Mutual help by each boat turning maintains a lot of respect out there! It was another great trip! I have a video link of each day below the photo from my You Tube Channel “Digitroll Fishing”. Thanks everyone!

  2. 10 days ago Fishhawk rolled out their new double wide transducer on You Tube and Facebook as a live show. I had a chance to test the new double wide transducer on December 18th, 2024 up in the Sea on Lake Champlain. It's pretty amazing the signal went all they out to 200 feet of cable. The old one the signal is good up to 120 ft of cable especially with currents on Lake Ontario. Here is my 30 second video test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gQQ3WJHFOw
  3. I wired in this waterproof switch mounted to the trailer to turn on in launch parking lot. Illegal in Vermont to run accent lights over the road. The switch solved this issue. I used two Lighting kits to do mine. One only did half my trailer.
  4. I added Vessel View 5 years ago and it's been a nice accessory for my 200 Mercury. Track rpm's and fuel burn on the app on my phone. I log all my maint. I do. It tells you by hours when that maint. is due. Blue tooth connectivity to phone. When I am away from the boat I can pull up my phone app and check fuel left in in tank and hours on engine. When I pull a tube for the kids I just use the App tracking rpm and mph. A great multi-use tool!
  5. We had 4-5 nice fish. Two year classes of fish. One small one. Had a lot of video clips to go thru and may have missed a few. Photos captured some of the nicer fish! Released all fish! Thanks for asking!
  6. What an amazing day and worth the 6 hour drive to Rochester, NY from Vermont! Thank you Richard Hajecki for an incredible day!
  7. Thanks! Not for everyone for sure! I like having the blue lights for night vision quality.
  8. Truthfully it's not a gimmick. I get it. We launch in the dark when we travel to Lake Ontario 3x a year from Vermont. The light is very useful when getting the boat ready ie. putting the antenna up / taking off the windshield cover / taking the straps off the back of the boat. Just as the interior lights are of the same value before launching setting up the inside of the boat. LED trailer lights never have to be unplugged and basically maint. free! Same with these trailer specific lights by T-H marine.. I used two kits to fill all the space in under the trailer. I added a switch to turn it off over the road due to it's illegal to run accent lights in Vermont.
  9. Set up with switch to run in launch area:
  10. Labor day week fishing Stagers here is a tip that will help people fishing Deep with Divers! Using the 124mm super sized Dreamweaver Diver will easily get to 95-105 ft which was super successful this past September for us landing 18 salmon each day we fished and a crazy amount of bites and lost fish over the two day's we fished. Tracking them with Smart Troll really helped our cause as well. In the past we never had any idea where are divers were running and they were standard size. Yielding very few bites this time of year as they weren't deep enough. We ran 4 riggers as well. Here is a link to a video I found on this Diver: This diver added many fish to our spread on Stagers Labor Day week. https://youtu.be/qG4VuUMqVcU
