  1. fishing on Canandaigua was tough yesterday. Set up at the pumphouse and headed south right up the middle. Hit 2 lakers right away and that was it for 2 hours! Trolled back with the south roll to the pumphouse and picked up a small bow when pulling the rods. It got nasty out there! I saw you at McD's this morning Les go get em!
  2. Great report Les! I will be out there tomorrow morning! Hope to do the same as you
  3. Just break out the spool of copper and a pflueger #4
  4. Brett, no babysitter and bringing your daughter means 3 more rods!
  5. Great job Les! Hope to get out this weekend
  6. Is it a hose style cooler to the oil filter adapter Tim?
  7. all I see is :cash: when that line breaks part of the game though, unfortunately
  8. I believe the technical name for the fish is GREEN CARP
  9. Nice! Hope to get back out Sunday am
  10. yeah, when they have a ramp taken over for a dumb weigh in I usually fly that phrase a few times, gets some nasty looks
  11. Bob, nice photo! We COULD have had a good day, but had the worst case of the dropsies we have had all year, 1/5 in 2 hrs one 6.5lb bow, lost two other real nice ones. I usually blame Dave but he put the only fish in the boat. It was also his biggest rainbow and first dipsy fish. All dipsy and flasher fly bites
  12. wonder if he would have liked the phrase "green carp" fishing
  13. So small story, I work at a local Ford dealership. A motorhome gets towed in with a bass boat loaded up with sponsors. Thought nothing of it, then saw the name and who it was. Takahiro Omori from the FLW national BASS tour. Real nice guy, talked fishing for a while, uncovered his boat and showed me. Interested in the type of fishing we have here in NY and floored when I told him the size of the salmon we have here. I don't really follow green carp fishing but it was cool to chat with him on their tour and what they do. Made a boring day at work a little interesting. Thought of an autograph but didn't want to seem like a 12yr old girl at a Justin Bieber concert
  14. They do suck to get to.K&n makes an oil filter with a 1/2 in nut welded on the bottom. I found its easier to use a socket wrench to get off instead of trying to wiggle a filter wrench in the tight spot. It is a pf52 delco number I believe. Hope this helps
  15. The finger lakes fishing is insane in the fall! I put bow season on hold the past few years and keep the boat ready until almost thanksgiving. It is a little easier to have her ready later having the boat in a garage year round. You can actually fish Canandaigua without having your boards run over by a wake boarder
  16. a lot of times pulling wire you foul hook fish underneath like that it rips them pretty good, probably an old injury. Seen a few like that
  17. Fleas stuck to the 20lb rigger rods pretty good and the wire dipsies put 30 out on the riggers they came up clean. Ran the 30 with a 17lb flourocarbon leader
  18. Last year we were on a good screamer out of Sodus. A 16-17ft older aluminum came right up to us on the side the fish was on. I didn't start laying in to him and asked what he was doing. It was their first time trolling and wanted to see the fish and what we hooked it on.I just told him to stay away until it was in the net and come back on the non dipsy side and I would show him. I told him some boats may react a little different and stay away if someone is hooked up. Glad I didn't scream his kid was with him excited about their first salmon trip. Just a rookie error and bad judgement but nice guy. Sounds like this guy this post was started about needs the stupid slapped out of him !
  19. Mike , wish I read your report before we set up shop
  20. After a disappointing wind and wave report on lake o decided to head right for Canandaigua. First trip of the year on that lake. Set up at the pump house in the dark, good hooks and bait. Went 3/4 all lakers 3 on the dipsy 220' 2.5 setting white green dot spin doc, Mtn dew fly was the best, one rigger nbk green spoon 50 down.average size, 90-110fow best west side . Done by 930 as the fishing slowed. Not great but beat having to get to sodus a and coming right home
  21. Decided to hit Canandaigua instead, nice calm ride and steady pick!
