    have pondered using a 1/2-1oz clip on weight just to get copper a little deeper quicker, has anyone done this and if so has it worked for you? Thanks, Kevin

    Sounds like the same stuff that goes on in the Blue Ghost it sucked to have to pull lines for a family emergency only an hour in but that is life. Went 1/1 with a 23lb female frog spin doc /frosted Willie fly 90/225 on the rigger. Was on a real good screen with hooks and bait when we pulled btw Davey did a good job on the net minus the bent handle at the end good crew and good times on a shortened trip

    that suck I hate fishing that crap. its time to chase kings the rest of the month anyways. My wife loves me this time of year. Fish on the boat in the morning, then head up to the pier to fling spoons for the kings in the evening

    That sucks Les, we fished off Sampson Sunday am and the weeds were tolerable 180' out. Under 160 or so it was a little messy, steady pick of fish though. I think that was you Nick as well running the same line as us

    We have plenty of slugs, just never seen them that size or color. Not what you expect to see in a pool! Guess I should start looking. May try gamblers trick with the beer to see how many are in the yard

    Lol cut bait. Needless to say my four year old wants nothing to do with the pool now! I showed her a lamprey before and she thought they were eels. I have just never seen them before and they creeped me out. thanks for the responses!

    These almost 3 in slug things were dead in our pool today. They weren't there yesterday, chlorine must have killed them. Any ideas on what the heck they are or where they come from? I am pretty knowledgeable with the outdoors but this has me stumped!

    If you want to do something like that, I would maybe use a section of PVC tubing and a universal pulley. Rod may be too light

    apb and Les are both right. Small spoons top 50 you wont be disappointed This year seems like the silver fish are a real early bite, over by 9am or so for us this year

    Failed gravity and flotation experiment? I had a buddy chuck a cheater over one morning after I handed it to him and said hold on to this while i brought the rod tip in.Just looked at him and said "really dude" took him a few seconds to realize what he did lol
