  1. Well I dont want to start a rumor or sound like an idiot but here it goes I have a friend who is a BASS fisherman ask me about a week ago if I heard of the report of a 6 to 8ft bull shark in the east end of Lake O that was seen and grabbed a king off someones line near the boat. I laughed and said, I guess it is possible one could venture up the St Lawrence but find it to be an urban legend. When asking the source he said he got it from a coworker and he heard if from bla bla... Has anyone else heard this "fish story" ? If the shark is there, I would love to pop that off the rigger
  2. For sale is a Jennings Starmaster 80% let off bow with many upgrades including newer cams, new led sight and silencers. Excellent condition, comes with hard case, ready to hunt. Shooting approx. 300fps when checked few years ago. Almost $800 invested, asking $200/BO limited free time is leading me to giving up bow season again this year pm if interested -Thanks, Kevin
  3. Who's planer board is Shawna holding??
  4. thanks! It was tough, should have set up a program shallow instead of working deeper. Didnt have too high expectations after not being on the lake for 3 weeks
  5. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:615a-10a Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction:sw Waves: 1-3 Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 3 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown:king, brown Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 110-200 Lure Depth: 20-90 Had a slow morning. Set up in 110 heading north, Took a hard shot on the rigger that thumped the cabl;e hard on release but gone in the first 10 mins and gone Few marks scattered for a while with the exception of a ton of hooks 15-30 down. Curiosity got the best of me, so I set 2 top rigger rods @ 20 &30 with bt and steelie regulars. The 20' monkey puke R&R fired shortly after with an average brown. Shortly after the 30' rigger with a rasp./copper stinger popped and shocked the hell out of me when it started screaming to 450 on the counter! Dad had about a 20min battle with a low 20's king on. It tired the hell out of him (still recovering with a stroke on the right side) but after a little breather(and me telling him the fish is kicking his a** ) got him to the net. My experiment with my new dipsy holder setup worked great and the boat was 100% after the bellow repair Had fun, see you next weekend out there! ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================
  6. Thanks everyone!
  7. Been out of touch for a few weeks with the baby and bellow repair...looking to get back at it Sunday, how are the fleas?
  8. I know this is not a report, but wanted to share the joy Carlie Marie was born Sunday 7/15 @ 11:41am, weighing 8lb 5oz and 20in. Mom and her are doing great! Got the boat ready Saturday to fish Sodus Sunday, and got the "its time" news right after I am sure she will love fishing like her 3yr old sister! -Kevin

  10. it is "lifter" in a politically correct term
  11. This may sound stupid, but take a boat bumper or some kind of float, throw it out in open water on a calm day and practice stopping along side of it to learn the boats manuvering abilities.
  12. Great trip Dale! What happened to the boat?
  13. She is going in on Tuesday am to Seager marine. My buddies are getting me in and out in one day. All bellows, shift cable and gimble bearing. Should be ready to get back on the water real soon. Just wanted to spooge it up to use it for this weekend, but decided not to take any chances
  14. There you go, torturing us who are at work keep 'em coming. Be back out there after I get the Trophy back from Seager Marine for the bellow job Tues. Back out next weekend (unless my wife has the baby before)

  17. no, way out of my league. I work for a Ford dealership parts man
  18. Yeah, I was just hoping for a quick fix so the boat is not down for a while. Fortunately they can get to it next week. I made appt
  19. Have a 99 Trophy w/ alpha one mercruiser outdrive. Went to head out yesterday, heard water trickling in the bilge, pulled the boat out and saw the bellow on the throttle cable is torn and leaking. Repair was quoted @ $800 for all bellows, but others are fine but replaced as the outdrive has to come off. Really would like to seal up the small 5/8 hose so the boat is not out of service for [rime salmon fishing. Gorilla tape maybe? Main bellows are fine. Open to ideas, thanks
  20. What speed do you run? If you are running slower than 2.0 you may want to hook the spin doc on the rear eyelet for more rotation @ slower speed. When I target lakers in seneca and run 1.4-1.8 surface I have good luck on the rear setting. Always on the front eye running faster. Don't give up on it, it is a killer setup!
  21. LOL! You off Tomorrow Dale?
  22. True Nick...l already did my part hope she doesn't read this
  23. Should be back out Sunday long as the 3yr old's 103 fever is gone and my 9mo. pregnant wife doesnt go into labor
