Rest of the kings were in the teens, all nice fish and released, one had a tough time but hope he made it. Stopped the boat for a few mins to get him going and take a break Cant wait to get back out there!====================

  10. True...but I would rather be cold and hands full of fish slime
  11. Great updates keep on 'em, should be out Sunday morning, stuck at work right now
  12. ahh nothing beats pulling wire on Seneca Lake, put 75% of our lakers per year in the boat that way
  13. thanks! Weighed in @ 10.19. l have a pic on a previous post "trout derby" We had an unusually slow time picking up lakers so started fishing the browns, landlocks and rainbows. Were on them good Sun. am before the lake laid flat. We had a good 57 degree pocket of water that quickly dissapeared [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  14. lf we are going to act like children...MY 2ND PLACE BROWN BEAT YOU But l am not like that, l give fair reports and usually boat alot of fish on Seneca, and post my reports.that is what this site is about helping other anglers with what you know, not kicking those who have had a tough day on the water. The "Blue Ghost" has placed 6 out of the last 7 years in the derby but never ridicule, just give my reports [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  15. Dale, we got to figure out a day when we are both off! Slow rollin, l think we were running along side of you when we were in that area Sun. am just north of Willard [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  16. Thanks guys! Had a great time, even more so felt blessed to be able to fish the derby with dad again after the stroke, as he is doing great
  17. Blame my wife Ray, she took the pic Here she is with grandpa and a fish, she had a blast this weekend camping
  18. Well had a tougher time than usual putting fish in the boat. Pulling copper was a lost cause, abandoned that ant went to riggers and boards. Had a steady slow pick until Sunday am when a 10.19 Brown took a green crush spin doc and Big Weenie Glo nad on the rigger @ 55' hit the deck! Fish held 1st place BT until the top brown was knocked the last day, settled for a 2nd place brown Ended the weekend with 9 lakers, 4 browns, 4 landlocks 1 rainbow. Boards and small copper stingers did most the damage. Had a blast at Sampson camping and the $750 prize will go towards the new baby fund Congrats to all the winners, looking forward to next year! Here is the pig brown That little hand in the pic is my 3 yr old daughter that loves holding fish
  19. I am 15 mins from Lake O, love it, just trying to concentrate on Seneca until after the derby
  20. Coming out of the Seneca State Park launch channel into the canal @ idle a few years ago, almost got tagged by a bass boat coming almost wide open up the canal at day break in the fog. I went hard reverse to avoid the moron luckily. First rule of boating: The boats horsepower should not exceed the owners IQ
  21. I remember all those names Missdemeanor mentioned. I was only a little kid, but remember my dad talking on the radio to Ghost, me a few times while I was at the wheel learning to drive between 7 and 8 yrs old
  22. Went Sunday, managed 4 lakers on wire and 2 Browns on boards on the North end. No size this time, biggest about 5lbs. Fish were a little deeper, the NW wind was awful after 10am only got in about 2 hrs
