  1. Well no where near the exciting reports from the south end but we managed to find some fish on the north end of Seneca. Fished 10:30a to 1:30p. Marks were very scattered on the bottom from 50-175fow and far between. Managed to go 6/11 all lakers between 19" and 27" all but one pulling wire, one on the rigger hitting a grn/glw spin doctor fly. Nice day on the water, fun to be out!
  2. awesome! I will definatley need some. Please let me know. Appreciate the info. If they are similar I would like a dozen or more Thanks, Kevin
  3. Hello looking to buy some Great Lakes, Blade Runner or similar fixed hook trolling spoons for pulling copper wire in the finger lakes. Please pm me with any info as my supplies on spoons are getting low
  4. awesome report! Cannot wait, Sunday will be the first trip of the year on Seneca!!!
  5. HM, that is a good well taken care of boat you bought. The 2052 handles awesome in rough water. Launching alone and loading is easier with bumpers on the fender wells to keep her straight. We made some out of 2 by 6's wrapped in indoor outdoor carpet and stainless angle brackets and has worked well.
  6. Get the lead out of your a** and use that WHO LOVES YA!!!!!
  7. actually it will be to Seneca. Canandaigua fishing usually starts in Sept for us after the Salmon run is over
  8. This is a very well built boat and in excellent condition! The 4.3 is an excellent smooth, quiet trolling engine
  9. may need to plow the 30" of snow out of the garage doorway to get the Trophy out of bed another great report guys keep making me jealous
  10. It is total crap. Where does the $7 launch fees, slip rental money and license revenue go? The state gov't is a total joke. I started going to Sampson with my family when I was 1, and now at 32 I am bringing my own family. I would hate to lose this place as well as a great fishing launch area
  11. My 1st place rainbow is on there being weighed day 2 @ Geneva, it was cool seeing it when I watched the video! Sites are booked, counting down the days!
  12. Awesome report! Counting down the days to get back out there!
  13. Fished out of Connoly's yesterday, VERY slow where we were. walking and dragging the shanty was very difficult due to the fresh snow, only made it out half way of where l wanted to be. Only caught 8-10 average perch in 2 hrs.
  14. Its always tough...right after the Seneca Memorial Day derby.
  15. Sounds like l may have a chance to place now
  16. As a life long Giants fan, it was all I could do to keep my cool and language under control in front of my "parrot" 19 month old daughter!!! Hopefully they can down the Pack and lock it up this week. Michael Vick is still a worthless idiot
  17. well, unfortunately the i/o had to be winterized, otherwise would be out all year
  18. Made the final trip of the year Sunday Fished the North end in strong south winds for about 2 hrs, going 2/4 on lakers average size, losing a nice 6-7 pounder just out of net range on a green/glw spin doc green atomik fly. Its always sad to give up on the year, but had an awesome season on Seneca, Cdga and the best Lake O salmon season in the last 4 years! Also met a few more LOU members, what a great group! Already planning for sprin, hoping to have 2 more riggers on the boat by then! See everyone then! -Kevin
  19. Good report! We worked the German Bros area on Sunday the 7th with all lakers. Out of 12 hookups we only boated 6 average lakers. Finished 3/3 after some serious hook sharpening R&R black oil slick was red hot again for us again this week, all spoon bite no flasher fly bites. Biggest laker 5-6lbs on a blue J9 Rapala "rainbow" set up 35 down over 90 , 110' back. All fish came 35-65 ft down over 80-110
  20. I am glad to see we were not the only ones brave wenough to go out in that cold!! Planning one more trip for the season...weather permitting
  21. Yeah agreed! Maybe the "magic wire " too!
  22. Despite the nasty temps and wind decided to give it a go. Fished 2 1/2 hrs with 12 pops and 6 fish in the boat! R&R razor Black oil slick spoons did most of the damage parked anywhere from 30-75 down in front of German Brothers marina. 5 average size lakers and one nice 25" bow were landed despite all the hookups with 3 doubles. Hope to get out for one more trip! -Kevin
  23. Sorry for the late post. Fished the North end on a windy cool day with little to show Managed one good rainbow in the 5-6 lb range off German Bros 70 down over 150 on a green and black Pirate 44, as well as a small laker on a watermelon 8" assasin/ atomik fly from Dave at R&R tackle. Threw the usual "hot" stuff at them with lots of marks and bait with only 3 pops all day. Only missed fish was on a slider 50/90 sutton 71. I don't know if it was us or if they were just shut down with the cold front Hope to get back out a few times this year....hard to get crews with the treestands hangin and rut coming -Kevin
