  1. I agree with Lakebound88!!!!
  2. Yeah, it happens Dale lol I just felt bad for our friend who has alot of Lake Ontario and Canandaigua experience to see that in his first 20 mins on Seneca, shortly after catching a big laker. We will be fishing the derby out there Memorial Day weekend along with the "retired" 3c17 By the way, this guy told us to get off HIS lake and go back to Ontario lol!
  3. yeah, we were running 1.1-1.8mph, were you the red/white Crestliner or Lund out running North-South?
  4. Fished the shallow waters on the East side starting around 6:30 am. first hook up was taken off the boards blk j9 Rapala, nice catch and release 9-10 lb laker. (pic to come later) Alot of marks and bait, ending with 10/18 all lakers to the boat mostly on wire, sizes ranging from 3-7 lbs. Had a Seneca rookie on the boat who unfortunately got to see a rarity on Seneca, a total jerk!! Setting up 20 yards off the starboard side of us and then cutting across the bow was not a smart move, hope those lures you lost on our prop were nothing special . Wanting to fist fight also shows how smart you were It was real mature to try to run my board over on your way in as well. I hope I convinced my friend to return to Seneca on his boat, reasuring him 99% of Seneca fishermen are very friendly and respectful. Sorry to be dramatic but it was otherwise an awesome day on the water, and hope to see many of you at Sampson in 12 days!!!
  5. Hi my name is Gary Marble freind of Kevins Looking for a support boat to acompany me across Lake Ontario. I can go out of Sodus Point or Oswego. The canoe paddle will be for the awarness of breast cancer. You can go to my websight www.paddleforbreastcancer.com or call my cell 585-455-2242 Thank You Gary Marble
  6. sounds like a switch to me, we replaced one last year for a similar problem on a mag 10a
  7. Great report Brett! How was the temp there? We fished Sampson on 4/21 and had good hits on blk/green R&R razor down 85-120 over 130. Temps were still around 43
  8. hopefully the only guide trips the Mahoney's will be giving is for trouser trout in State Prision What a shame for something like this to happe to a fellow fisherman. Hopefully Mr. Murray's recovery is quick
  9. Hey Zebedee fyi I caught all our fish Saturday on the riggers not wire! Felt like a challenge
  10. Should be out, but fishing out of the north end on ch 68
  11. awesome to see you have a good day Dave! D.J must have been so excited.I can tell the curse of the 'other" Dave is out of your boat
  12. I saw the story on Channel 13, should have given the LOU a plug on there Cool find!
  13. Glad to see awesome catch reports Jason and Chuck! I posted a report from the same day on the north end with only 9 fish hooked! We did not mark very many fish, but hooked half of what we marked. There was also no temp, 42-45 all the way down
  14. Fished about 3 hours on the east side near the pumpstation. Managed to boat 6 out of 9 all lakers, average size. Most fish came in 80-90 fow on a North troll, "pulling" copper with a Great Lakes #4 spoon took all the fish, no rigger or flat line strikes, did however mark a lot of bait and suspended fish 50-75 down. The real treat of the day was breaking a wire off right at the boat, and catching it hook to hook on the other rig WITH NO WIRE OR LURE LOST Despite a terrible wind forecast it was a great day on the water. Below is an average size of the fish caught today
  15. yeah, I was wondering about the west side because of the sw /w winds tonight
  16. weather pending, we may head to Severne Point this time, the fish were still deep and far between on the North End last time
  17. Good day! Good way to break the ice for the season! You heading back out this weekend Brett?
  18. Nice meeting you guys! It is always tough on the north end when they are that deep...that was work at that depth! Hope to see you out there again soon -Kevin
  19. Hitting the North End of Seneca Sunday am probablly out of the canal launch
  20. Gator, great day! curiosity what pound test you use? I have 6lb on my perch rigs for Canandaigua and it works fine. Do you go lighter? I only fish Seneca for trout usually.
  21. Heres the big secret...pull wire for lakers in 20-30 fow, you will find huge perch by accident! lol
  22. I had good luck last year on all the above. The deep fish were hitting spindoctor fly combos heavily, variety of colors. 28's or suttons will work good as well off the rigger. Copper however is the way to go. I run sticks off the boards for the rainbows and browns early am
  23. Freeman, Jason gave you great advice on the North End. Along with that try starting in water 80-90 and work out from there. This time a year the fish can be down as far as 175ft. Although time consuming, sometimes I find it best to cruise around until we start marking fish and set up from there rather than trolling dead water. Early spring speeds usually best around 1.0-1.3 mph for me Good luck if you go out!
  24. have fun down there Dale! Sure beats a NY winter, must be time for Walworth firemen to be down there, Gary and Dave B are there too! Give me a call when you get back, been goingv to Sodus
