  4. after all these monster obstacles my 20' section of dock on Seneca last spring that we passed between the boat and port planer board seems boring lol. That's my" best" so far
  5. Dad is home ! In pain and not very mobile however is making good progress. He is ruled out to Not be able to fish the Seneca Memorial day derby for first time since '75 however sad to say. Been my partner for it every year since I was 7 in 1985. He may still be able to camp for the derby since he doesn't want to miss out on the atmosphere and seeing old friends. Next step is trying to be back on the water when the kings start heating up Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. If anyone is looking for a decent priced x4 since this one is sold, I got mine at Northland Outfitters in Michigan for $540 shipped brand new . Real nice people too
  8. Thank you everyone...latest update is he will be in rehab facility until end of the month. Doctors said he should be cleared to be back on the water by mid June. Its killing him to not be out there but I am hoping hes good as new soon.
  9. as mentioned above or you can also feed out by hand. measure one pull from reel face to first eye 15" or so (ex. 25 pulls about 30')
  10. I know he will be back. Thank ypu for the support. These pics are from weeks after he had a stroke 3 yrs ago. He was hell bent then to get back out . Against docs orders he was determined . I took him out and we were fast and steady out of sodus . Only managed a few pics with just two of us . We were just talking about this day. , but it's his determination as well as his grandaughters .Disregard the high rod bend. I slowed the boat for him on the fish lol. 11. Thx everyone. I will pass all these on when I go see him today and keep updates . Soon as he feels up to it I am going to pick him up at the rehab center in sodus and take him to the ramps and marinas in sodus area. He wants a taste of the water per his request ! 12. I am looking for prayer requests for my dad , best friend and fishing buddy . 2 weeks ago he went down in the driveway. I initially got the call (ems) to his name and address as a full cardiac arrest. Upon arrival he had fallen from a step head first onto the pavement in his driveway knocking him out cold. After a week in the hospital they determined he has a fractured neck and is in a rehab center . He is in good spirits and hell bent to be ready to fish the National Lake Trout Derby in Seneca for the 40th straight year and be back to be on the boat for the summer loc. Hes taught me all i know and lives to fish. Wouldn't normally put this out but he needs a miracle . Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. Great thanks guys....I know the Andy reekers and honey bees use to be great on Canandaigua for fall bows. Def was a good find and they have a new life saved from the scrap yard ! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Fish Hawk transducer mount help Well the Mrs was kind enough to buy me an X4 unit for my hard work remodeling the bathroom for her . I have a Lowrance Hook 7 and a Garmin Striker 4 unit on the boat now and transducers are on the same side (Starboard). I was worried if I mount the Fish Hawk transducer beside them something would pick up interference . Idk if I have enough cable to run to other side of outdrive. Also would the probe have to be on the same side rigger as the transducer? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
  17. My youngest was born in july. She was due day before my birthday and came 2 weeks early. Few more hours and I would have been on the lake ! Boat was all hooked up. Def got a laugh out of this pic lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. dumb question but is this all open to the public? would love to take the kids to see
  20. Thanks guys, geez I hope it hasn't gone bad, if it is that I will live with it as long as possible. The only reason for the whole bellow job was a pin hole in the shift cable boot. Took it to Seager Marine and had all bellows, cables and u joints (cant remember if gimble bearing done ) changed as preventive maint. since it was apart
  21. if there is it must be inside. its fine running on plane and start up , just real touchy and stiff trying to bump rpms slow. Saturday on Canandaigua I had to settle for 1.8-2.1 or 2.9-3.2 @ 600 or 900 rpm. It was a little too windy for the plate down lol
  22. no, its different on an io. just the throttle lever and a red squeeze trigger on the handle to shift gears and a neutral button at the pivot
  23. all cables were replaced with bellows 2 yrs ago. Hope its not lol
