  1. Thank you for making the effort. I just read all the rules and it states clearly what you just told me. My apologies for asking first instead of reading first. Cornelis.

  4. Now why did you have to that? I had just started a conversation with him and I explained that I really want to be his beneficiary, but in order to able to release any money he was going to have to send me $15000 in bank release and maintenance costs. The money to be deposited in my Swiss bank account. I was really looking forward to his answer.
  5. Yes I do love those and I buy them fresh whenever I visit the old country.
  6. Thanks for the post Vince. You are completely right in what you say and I have no problem with whatever rule or regulation there is. It is just that in this case, the docking points are much farther apart (15 miles) than the distance between Wilson and Olcot (6 miles). No matter what the rules are, we will stick to them and enjoy the fun of meeting people and competing. Heck,if we're not careful we might even win.
  7. Thank you for the answer Tom,but it does not answer my question. I'll put it in a different way. Is there any rule or regulation that forbids me to start the day in the Little Salmon River ,but end it by running into the Oswego Harbor as long as I am within the time constrictions? Cornelis.
  8. Here is a question about the rules. Can a boat that left from the little Salmon River run into the Oswego Harbor at finishing time instead of having to run back to the Little Salmon River and vice versa? This is very important if the salmon are very close to or even west of Oswego ,but not close to Mexico bay at all. Last year there were no salmon anywhere near Mexico bay. They were in front of Oswego and Port Bay. The time it would take us to run to the salmon would have cut our fishing time in half and this made it very hard for us to compete. Cornelis
  9. Remember to keep the wife happy ,or that is what you will end up doing
  10. The six horse probably has an idle adjustment screw. instead of using your tiller you can just adjust it to a higher idle and troll that way
  11. For fish finders,The Sitex SVS 650 with an Airmar P66 transducer will give you the most bang for your buck at $625 if purchased through Semperfi fishing on "the hull truth"
  12. That sounds like a 19 to 21 foot open bow with a powerful outboard and some canvas to close the bow and create a cuddy like steering house. don't forget an easily removable kicker. You should look into some Grady White rigs.
  13. Last year a 40+ brown was caught in Lake Michigan. The same size should be around here too.
  14. There is no need to be too precise about a transducer that is only used at trolling speed . Just make sure that it is looking straight down and make sure that the edge of the transom does not interfere with the cone.
  15. There is the channel that goes from the markers that Tom talks about all the way to the outlet. It is between 13 and 5 foot deep you can run up and down the channel flat lining or with the riggers at 2/3 foot down.I picked all sorts of surprizes out of there. Don't try to use the boards.
  16. A Dibellas sub what else could it be?
  17. With a name like ssafran Mellow Yellow comes to mind.
  18. I am a member and do also have the tow service thing, mostly because I do most of my fishing alone at crazy hours.I've never needed them, but it does give me peace of mind. The tow service is not very fast. They have a few (3?) boats on trailers to cover the south shore . I've always wondered about how to reach them when out of cell phone range.
  19. That may be just a little bit too much information, but on the other hand...
  20. Ouch, that hurts! So now the Gil T Hooker got hooked. hope you feel better soon
  21. The sad part of this story is that the dredging was always one of the pet projects of our politicians. Now there is no more pork and no more harbor dredging.
  22. It just so happens that the money for these projects comes from fees paid for by commercial shipping companies. I have yet to be charged a docking fee. The launch money does not even cover the wages of the person taking the fee.
  23. I want to be able to have liquified natural gas power my boat!
  24. Only Cohos have the nice pink store bought colors.
