Does anybody know the current state of launching there? I heard that it is open. Will I need hip waders?

Thank you for that information. I never knew that Alexis was a communist revolutionary. I always thought that she was a smart sexy blonde with a sweet voice. From now on I will always turn Alexis off.By the way? Is it true that the Communist Chinese are sending brain waves through the Apple Earpieces? Should I put little tinfoil caps on the earplugs? I mean, you never know!!

I agree that aggressive law enforcement and tickets are no fun, but seeing drunken sailors with on very busy bays causing bodily damage and children having to be med-evacued because of daddies stupid drunken decisions is definitely a worse alternative. As for Venezuela and its troubles , let's leave that out of this because there are a ton of things that have nothing to do with our situation. It may be that you hark back for a time when there were only half as many people around and there was more room to do your own thing without regulations

There is no law that says that you cannot have outdated ones on board, but your valid ones have to be separate (in a different container) from the old ones so no mix up can occur. If anybody fines you for having outdated legal materials on board of your property , do not pay the fine.Go to court because the judge will throw that ticket in the garbage together with all the other citations you may have been given by an ignorant over eager officer.

I really appreciate the state troopers and the DEC being out on the water and the snow trails. Their presence removes a lot of drunken risk takers who are accident prone unpaid hospital bills producers. Law enforcement saves a lot more money than it costs. And tickets are not a way for the state to make money, they are given so people will not senselessly endanger themselves and others. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Thank you all for your advice. I will check the fuel /air mixture and the timing. I replaced the plugs although they were not very black. They probably cleared up after running a few miles at WOT.

I have a 19 foot Islander (1984) with a 4 cylinder 3 liter engine with good compression across the board and the points replaced by electronic ignition. When I troll at roughly between 750 and 950 rpm everything goes fine for the first hour or two , but after that, the engine starts running rougher and sometimes it just quits on me. Than I have to restart it in neutral and when it starts it leaves a bunch of brownish to black carbon floating on the water. Than it will run again for another hour or so. When I pack up to go back to port the engine has a hard time to pick up rpm and sometimes just stalls. I have to very gradually increase rpm and after a few minutes it runs just fine. Why is there carbon buildup? I replaced all my fuel so it is 91 octane ethanol free and fresh. The spark plugs are ACDelco43LTS. My carburetor was professionally rebuilt. Is my timing a bit off? What else should I look for so she runs smoothly at low rpms without carbon buildup? Thank you for any advice and help, Cornelis

Check the Talora wire rods. They have rollers the whole way .They come in several different lengths

This morning they went from 1000 to 10200 cubic meters per second. In 2017 they were at 10400 starting June 14. It stayed until August 8. We will probably see something similar this year. That is a lot of water under the bridge. Sometimes I think that it may flush some Atlantics or chinook yearlings to the ocean and it may unwittingly be the seeds of a brand new salmon run. Time will tell.

That really is a small matter. There are plenty of people on this board who do their own repairs. Steering cables are easily replaced and do not cost an arm and a leg. Before salvaging your boat you should go to Craigs list or on this board and ask for a local guy to swing by your house and replace it.There are plenty people around who make a second career fixing these small matters. If you do not feel comfortable going that way, contact Hank (L&M marine) on this board. He is in Port bay which is an hour east of Rochester. He can help you.

I may be interested. Is it an aluminum boat?

Another problem is even farther downstream. Quebec City has potential 18 foot difference between high and low tide. This will go up considerately if too much downstreaming water collides with incoming tidal water. I wonder if all that water going through Lake Ontario will help us end up with a cleaner lake
