    Going through my lure box I found about 35 northern kings, mostly 28s, but some were bigger. This made me wonder about lure speed. I know that super slims have a large range as do stingers. Is there a speed range in which 28 northern Kings perform best?

    It usually is blocked with sand at this time of year. Every year they bring in some heavy equipment to clear the passage.

    Before you take it from the dealer lot, make sure it starts and does all the things you want it to do. They may return it to you with a dead battery or some BS like that. That is not something you want to find out on the boat ramp. Good luck on your second maiden voyage.

    I had some issues with back flow and air suction. It all stopped when I put in check valves in each of the lines

    It seems that 11 inch UV paddles work better than the smaller flashers.

    Islander ! The Islander can deal with surprises. Seneca often has thunder storms moving through and with them 4 and 5 foot waves with crazy short wave periods. With an Islander you can stick the bow into the waves. With a pontoon all you can do is run for your life. Aluminum boats have the same electrical charge as the water around them and that diminishes the risk of a lightning strike on your rig.

    I have for sale a 2016 9.9 4 stroke Suzuki kicker with electronic start, remote cable control , EFI, and tilt and trim and the owners manuals. These engines are about $3800 new. It has 60 hours of use, is in perfect condition and it is ready to to be hitched onto your boat. I bought it last year thinking it would be great to use on my Islander, but it is just too much engine for my boat. The price is $2200. I am located in Rochester,NY. But I am willing to travel within reason.

    Does anybody have any idea as to how long it will take for all that water falling in the mid west to make it down to Lake Ontario and will it have any noticable effect on our lake level?

    Today I slowly drove by a flock of turkeys all females +1male. The male ran straight toward my truck and started pecking at the tires and jumping up against the side of the truck. It was not until I got out and walked up to him that he retreated. This was a first for me. Is this the exception or is this common place with testosterone laden turkeys ?

Comes with shift / Throttle control box as well. Runs super smooth and quiet and the EFI is magic. Fires right up. $2200 FIRM. Today these engines cost $3750 new. It comes with the manuals as well.

    With or without. Fishing is about enjoying life on the water. Yes it is nice to catch a fish. But it is not what makes a day on the water special. I have both a fishfinder and a fish hawk, but last summer I lost my probe and had to continue fishing on just a fish finder. I spent less time looking at screens and caught more fish because my attention was where it was supposed to be instead of trusting electronics.
