Awesome day on the water!! We just set the last rod to start our troll, jason looks at me and says well its either gonna be a good day or its gonna stink. No sooner he gets done saying it and the rods start to fire. Most fish today came on multiples - doubles, triples and even a quad one time. Off the water by 11:30 with 40 fish and there were some really nice ones today too. Check out billybobs for our pic from today. I'll get some pics up sometime tomorrow. That bi-sexual fly is now my favorite fly - caught a lot of fish and looks awesome in the water! Haven't had that much action in quite some time - my arms are sore.... Thanks jason for a great time!

Great to get out, even for just a short trip. The evening was just too nice to waste indoors! And we didn't get the skunk scent on the boat either

Hit a local reservoir where there are some bass to see if they were active yet. I thought with the temps the past few days there might be some activity. YEP I caught about 20 fish between 5:30P and 7:30P last night on a 3.5" tube bait. OK but here's the twist, over half of them were crappie!! I landed one that went 13.5 inches and several more that were pushing 12". I fished that reservoir all last season and never hit a crappie (of course I was always bassin'). Pretty cool! Oh and I did get one bass about 5 lbs.

I fished that run for many years when I lived out there. Wow what good memories and fun I had! My son caught one over 31 inches a few years back. Try Orleans Park in high water, a guy every 2 feet shoulder to shoulder, lines everywhere, tangled up, braided line snags, people falling, boats getting pelted with lead from shore, oh the JOY!

here you go guys - couple nice browns from our trip out with spoonfed-1 Glen on Saturday. Glen I had a great time as usual! Unfortunately for Nick I was the rod hog, as 3 out of the 4 came from my side of the boat.....I felt so bad I let Nick hold 'em up for the pic.

haha I did that once a couple of years ago and took lots of heat over that! Never again - no bananas on the boat!!

float fishing is great, fly fishing is great, trolling is great and so is bottom bouncing. Why? Because they are all FISHING techniques! what the heck do you care what someone else is doing? (unless you are jealous because they are catching more than you!! ) do what you want as long as its legal and enjoy the fish and the outdoors! I'll try em all in the same day if means I get fish pulling on my line!! Dahlberg stage 4 - catch em the way YOU want to catch em. P.S. stage 1 - catch fish stage 2 - catch a LOT of fish stage 3 - catch a really BIG fish Tight lines everyone!
