run em out 220 and 240 on 2.5 that should get you down 70-80 feet oh and run over 90-100 fow lakers will come into your boat

they looked exactly like stingers landlocks when they were on the boat. They look more like browns in LB88's pic at home. I still think they were landlocks cause there were an awful lot of scales coming off them - the kind that dig into your fingers and wont come off!

yeah it was maybe 7. I checked out the belly and no eggs. It was just real fat and had huge shoulders. I was surprised at the width of that thing, it looked like a tuna the way it was shaped. The filets I got were huge - looked like some small king filets. yum!

What a great day out there today. I thought we were just gonna get cold and do some exploring, but then we end up on a boat and do some landlock liprippin'! Those guys were really active from 10-12, then slowed a bit till we got off the water at 2. Thanks lakebound88 for a great day it was really nice meeting you in person and fishing with you - lets do it again soon! There will probably be a pic or 2 of our outing on billy bobs site for your veiwing pleasure. Wind and waves got fairly spunky by the afternoon and chased us off the water even though we were still picking at them. How bout that last monster I reeled in at the end eh Nick? lol

quattro, we had a couple of fish with eel marks and one that came to the boat with an eel still attached. jason made a quick release of that one before it came aboard. He really hates those nasty things! I would say of the 30+ fish we had maybe 3 or 4 with eel marks. So the ratio was somewhere near 9 or 10 to 1, not real bad.

I used to be a regular on that site when I lived in Ft. Wayne, IN. Good info and great guys who know how to fish very well. Kinda cool to hear (see) that site out here.

all I can say is WOW what a day on the water! on the water at 8 kinda slow for the first half an hour then bam, landlock after landlock, couple slammers too. I'll get the pics up soon. so we get tired (and our limit) of landlocks then go laker hunting. Like jason says all hell broke loose. Doubles all over, just missed a triple by seconds as we boat a fish 2 rods go off. Good quality today too as most of the lakers were over 24" Great day and great company - thanks jpainting and jason!!

there are a couple of launches in watkins but they ice over easier than severne due to the location.
