  1. It is easy to point a finger at an out of stater, I use to complain about the same thing. The wife and I would pick up trash on every outing. Then one time I noticed the CF letters on 3 boats that through trash over board. They where all from right here. Back at the dock a guy from out of state saw the same thing we did and was up set about it as well. We told the local sheriff on duty at the harbor and he informed us he could do nothing about it, because he did not witness them dumping the trash. Many times now I watch and have found it is and has been the people from right around us. Where the out of starters would pick up trash also. The biggest percent of out of stater are more tree huger types
  2. I was thinking of what it was like when I grew up. In Grammar school which was 1st to 8th where some great times of a child's life and development. We had pledge of allegiance to the flag at the beginning of each day of school. Respect for our teachers and adults was ingrained in each of us. We played dodge ball , baseball and flag football with out any safety gear, February girls all gave the boys a Valentine cards, with many young men being embarrassed. On Presidents birthdays we celebrated in class, with learning about the man. No paid holidays for our parents. In mid march we would all make sure to wear some green on . so as not to get pinched by our friends for not wearing any green. Then the last week of March was spring brake for Easter. No big deals where made of it school back then. Most families went to church with no shame. May brought the whole family together at the grandparents home for our grandmother on mothers day. Uncles , Aunts and cousins all there for a big dinner. The end of May was honored by all on Memorial day, a trip to the Cemetery to spend some time with uncles who died for our country followed with picnic . Come June school was out and Fathers day, which was meet for our dad , but always turned out to be a day spent with the family. ( should have been called family day ) I know our dad never had the chance to do what he wanted. Then one of the biggest celebrations of the year was July 4th. We all would head down to the lake and camp out in tents swim, fish and play with our cousins till we dropped. Near the end of August we geared up for another year of school to start. The cool part of this was we would unite with old school mates we have not seen all summer. September brought the last holiday of the summer and plenty of work. Cattle to stock yards and hay in the barn for another winter ahead , oak cut split and stacked in the shed for heat on the cold days and nights ahead. The work was all done as a family and yes some had chores others did not share. Columbus day in October was one of our first school events of the year. The history the teachers would tell you about in class would make you daydream of wild adventures. The first part of November was a reminder to our family members and others that made the greatest sacrifice of all for our freedom , school had us understand that great sacrifice made so far away, we knew the countries and places from history class teacher back then. Come the middle of November the cold days and nights have settled in. Our house would have aromas from a year ago. The smell of fresh cooked pies and cookies which my mother along with my aunts would help my grandmother for our feast ahead. In school again the teachers would start their stories starting in England all the way to the east coast and the 1st colony. Once more you would day dream of some adventures, and you knew every location they talked about. Then the greatest of all holidays of the year, where you knew the whole family would gather around. The uncles and my dad would take the old flat bed GMC up the mountain for a tree. Then all the young would wonder what Santa would bring. The feast and stories where out of this world. We all sat quiet as the adults talked about the days of the year behind us. While we all enjoyed another great meal of turkey and ham. Now as the years have passed and life has changed and going so fast around us all. I have had a hard time trying understanding what has happened in today's world . What has happened to the family unit ? So I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Please find away to unite with your family members so far away.
  3. This news has been all over the television and news papers out in California .Is this all hype or true? http://www.boattest.com/Resources/view_ ... ewsID=3900

  6. Action Jackson and I meet up at Bridge Bay Marine at 0645, by the time we launched the boat and on our way it was 0715. We headed over to the McClound arm and set out the planer boards in a good chop and solid north wind coming down to canyon. Set out 4 lines off the tow line, two on Port side and two on Starboard side. We where already to start fishing now by 0735. At 10:00 the bite had totally shut down. We had 9 hook ups with only 4 fish in the box. Dave had a little trouble trying to understand the release off the tow line, but everyone does the first time. So the tale of our day was 5 A & E with 4 in the box fished until 1600 . It was a hell of a day at sea Captain
  7. I hate Christmas . The wife wants lights up on the outside of the house, why who is going to see them? The deer , birds , bears and other critters could care less. Then I get up on the ladder and clean out the gutters before I can hang the lights. So now I have another job to do. Then the little plywood cutouts of elf's, candy canes all the way down the drive way. By now I am getting crap from my two brothers , because there wife's are wanting the same thing. Then there is the mistletoe she wants above the door way. So I have to go out into the dark woods, looking in every dam oak tree until she sees the one she wants that is 25' up the tree,. Back to the house a get the chain saw to cut down a tree, to get the mistletoe. Well that leads to a three hour job of cutting the tree up for fire wood. Then she brings in the mail and low and behold another Christmas card from the Power company thanking me for being such a loyal customer. Our power bill is so high from all the lights, we could land a 747 down the driveway if there was enough room. Now it is time to go out and cut down some innocent tree just so she can put a $ 900.00 worth of lights and ornaments all over it. Then the money spent on our kids, that the only time you hear or see from them is when they want to borrow some money or use my tools they never return. I have found out in the last 36 years the word borrow means give me. Then comes the shopping for all this crap. Wrapping paper that thirty six trees gave up there life for. It is ripped off the presents in seconds. Then in the trash , which end up at the land fill, just gets fuller from all the plastic, cardboard and wrapping paper from Christmas and for what. Then the endless phone calls and cards from people wishing you a happy or Marry Christmas you have not heard from all year. Why bother me now . So can someone tell me one good thing about Christmas that does not evolve any of my hard earned money ?

  15. I am sorry I even posted this, It was meant more as a joke. But after reading a few posts, it's getting out of hand. Please , Please you taking it out on each other is not right, you need to point your anger at the people who can change things not each other. we all have the right to believe in what ever we chooses. If you feel something is wrong then the person or person doing wrong can be removed, but not out of anger. You Yankees can get up set real fast
  16. I let my Net down today and feel bad about it. Not one time did it get wet, I had the feeling when I started the day just like any other time I hunt for big browns. So for me I brake out the big lures 6" and 7" stick Baits, Ran them off the planer boards running 30' of water all day. Had 3 take downs and nothing to show for it. The day started off with a great north wind coming down the McCloud arm of the lake, with a good one foot swells and white caps. Ideal for the big fish. I had a awesome time on the water by myself today, plenty of sunshine with surface temps at 56 degrees. The lures use where Abu Garcia Tormentor Wrangler Savage Billy V this is better than upside down writing
  17. Outstanding pictures, nothing better than seeing two young men with smiles that big with there catch of the day. Thanks for sharing and tell the two great job
  18. Ray in your native tongue it is like this Луч Это - Ñ Ð½Ðµ понимает в вашем родном Ñзык
  19. Rod I would rather look crazy, putting fish in the box, than looking crazy doing nothing. People say that about me out here when they see Daiwa heart land rods 8'6" on my track system for the planer boards or steel line roller rods with dipsy's on the end. But it has been sometime since I came back into the harbor with no fish Thanks to these methods. People open there mouth with something stupid before they understand what it is about. Keep it up from one crazy guy to another. Stan
  20. Here in America when you call many companies you have to hit one to speek English to talk to some one. I do not understand with a 195 countries in the world and There are 6,500 living languages listed. Of these, 6,000 have registered population figures. 52% of the 6,000 languages are spoken by less than 10,000 people, and 28% are spoken by less than 1,000 people. 83% of them are limited to single countries. What happened to when if you wanted to live some where you had to learn there language if you want to survive. Is there something going on we do not know about. Where Spanish language is becoming the number one spoken here in the USA
