  5. My wife caught her first brown on all most the same set up, back in sept . I had a 6" herring Grand Slam BUcktail and the brass flodger by silver streak . The leader was set at 24" . That was gin clear water in Oregon.
  6. No that feeling, try it with out reading glasses
  7. You guys are just off the hook out there. I am going to have to try those small dodgers. Did some one say how much leader from dodger to bait ?
  8. Hey thanks for the info
  9. Chowder out here we have foud that the pro troll moves browns aways from your bait in the spring. But once summer is here they do all right. Most guys out here don't use a dodger or flasher when fishing for browns. They longline or rip the shore lines by hand while in a boat.
  10. Hey Bob I can do it..Then just a couple of hundered for Big jon boats and the yellow line right.
  11. Look guys being from California and always a 9er fan..what the hell happened ???? Or is it the 9er's are starting to get it back, after some many years of loss

  13. Mark relax, I never even keep them. I just love the in-line boards, now just to figure out whats is it going to take to get bigger fish on them. I am looking at the Big Jon planner rigger. it's coming togather slow but for sure. With 20 other boats yesterday the two of us out fished the others in a big way
  14. Hey Jason thanks for the report and pictures. Looks like t-shirt weather from here
  15. sorry your looking at them, thats are bows for out here
  16. Ok thats a cool $ 450,, how do you hook everything up ??? what goes to what
  17. so what is a good set up for mast and what brand. I have been using the in-line church walley boards and have gotten good with them. Now on to the next step right.
  18. Redding, California at the AMPM reg is at $1.76. then 30 miles up the road at Lakehead it $ 2.02 gallon
  19. Hit Shasta Lake at day break, had my friend TC with me. He wanted to see how planner boards worked. After a day fishing and all fish off the boards, he is now a believer. 12 rainbow trout and 3 bass. here is picture of the ones he took home for the smoker.
  20. I have waited so many years for this . The lakes are empty of fisherman. All but one this year. Kids are all grown up and moved all over the country. The wife is going to her mothers and I am sure the credit cards will show what they did. So it's time to rip some lips. I will be thinking of you guys when I pull that ribeye off the grill, with baked potato, garlic bread and cream corn. Good old man food and artery clogger Happy holiday to all of you back east
  21. So now I am going to be alone for a week, I have plotted out the lakes I am going to fish and what steaks I will be eating. Shasta Lake, Lake Siskiyou, McCloud Reservoir all in California and the last will be Cresent Lake in Oregon for two days. So happy holidays to all you back east
  22. We used rolled shad in the winter for our land locked kings. But now I have gotten into great lakes style. What spoons and flies would you guys use. Color combs would be great
  23. Longline , I don't think I would be telling everyone you have nuke's. See those are ok ..just no guns
  24. I am about to, between the tree hugers , the fruits and our friends south of the border . This place has been out home for 3 generations on the same piece of dirt.. I think they all went to the same schoool. The one that teaches take, take, take and lie and return nothing.. Get anymore in the wagon , who is going to pull it ?
  25. Even with the price of gas less than $ 2.00 a gallon. Number of my friends that own tackle shops, there business is down over 50%. One of my friends is a tackle manufature he has cut back to 3 days a week and layed off a number of people. Then there are the fishing resorts that have lost over 40% of there yearly clients. Things out here are not looking to good for the sport fisherman. With so many lakes in the north state way below normal levels and boat ramps are high and dry. A few of our lakes are so low they predict the fish will not survive the low waters, with the ice cover.
