Ray , ray , Ray When I was younger I use to fish the Ocean and rivers for 30,40 50 lb Kings. The iron board worked great. Never had a fish lay over both ends.If it did , that part was cut off .( We used it for fish heads and rice ) now that last part Ray was a joke Ray Now that Matt has asked me to come out in July, I hope to meet some of you yanks.

I love it, a friend of mine had his set up in the front yard. I asked how mad his wife would be, he was using her iron board. He said he got his at a second hand store. It really is slick, It's a wonder there not sold in tackle stores across Americe. I have a flex hose with a shower head on mine that adjusts

The best cleaning and cuttin board money can buy, is an old iron board. The one that has the grill top. Fish will not slip and the fluids drip through to the ground. You can take the garden hose and rinse it off on the lawn.I found mine at a second hand store for $ 5.00. Your back will not hurt from bending over, just adjust the board to your height. I know Ray you think this is a joke as well, but it is not...

There is a lake in California call Lake Oroville. It's the only lake in the whole state they stock Coho's in. In the winter , you have a hard time getting below the little guys to get bigger fish. They are a real pain in the rear.

When you say flashers, do you mean dodgers ? cowbells,or stright flashers. I use cowbells for mackinaw ( lake trout ) only and for kings have always used dodgers 00 size and some 12"

Oh yes I know the j-plugs and do use them. The record King of of my home lake is 18lbs. The ave around 4-5 lbs.My best on Shasta Lake is 8.2 lbs . See out here we all used rolled shad. now I have gotten into spoons , flies and dipsy divers, I have been out fishing most. Even some of my guide ( capt's ) friends. I have in the past used the white color

Out here on the west coast, the Kings are going to start staging in the next couple of weeks. My question is, what do you all find better. Spoons or stickbaits for these staging Kings ? Please be specific on colors and brand. Now are lakes are not clear like yours. 2 feet visibility at the most. Thanks for any help.

From way out west, we call lake trout, Mackinaw. The way I fish for them is a 6" white Grand Slam Bucktail with a large wiggle fin on the nose. 26" to 30" leader with a Gold flodger. Off the 15lb ball is a 180' set back. Trolling speed 2.2 to 2.4 mph For stick biats I use the Cisco Kid Husky or the Wrangler. Off the downrigger ball of 15lbs a set back of 180' to 220' We find cowbells and such will move the fish away or not bite at all. Trolling speed 2.2 to 2.8 mph Just a west coast 2 cents worth

I am know expert, I just got into dipsy divers last year as well. I started off with 30# braid ., on two of my rods. Oh let me tell you about the tangles with the downriggers. But after asking , how to set the dive. It was a cake walk. Three months after I got a okma wire rod and 1,000 feet of malin 30# wire , Daiwa sg4lca reel. I have always use line counters to get me back in the strike zone. Man your goin to love them after , you master them. I now get more fish off the dipsy divers than my downriggers. Still do not know why yet.
