Hey guys I am sorry, I did not try and get people up set. Out here in California, everyone fishes three ways . Top line , jig or downrigger, thats it. Now in the last 1 1/2 years I am trying to learn the way you all do so great . I now have plannerboards, dipsy divers, steel line, depth raider and all new copper set up. I have to say ,at my age to have your eyes opened to a new way of catching fish is tough to swallow. But now I have mastered the plannerboards and dipsy divers. My friends can not believe the size and fish I catch, I have always caught fish in the past , but not the caliber I do now. I want to thank all of you for the many lessons. please don't get up set with each other.Thats the way they do on California boards. Thanks again to all

Ray being from California and fish alot of tournaments, your right on . There is just no way , you can keep all the anglers happy. Not telling you guys what todo. But set your rules and live with them. You will have a whole lot less headaches. People will be people, and they needs somthing to complain about. Just my 2 cents worth. Hey Matt get the boat ready and we will get into the tournament, what ever the rules are Hey what about those 9ers

Mr. Gill-T Thanks for your info. Most of the browns I catch on the lake are in those ranges. See they build a dirt dam to hold back the water . Then made the concrete dam. But at the bottom of the dirt dam there are big fish. The only fish in the lake are Brook Trout, Rainbow, Browns and small mouth bass. The bass, brooktrout will never get that big here. As far as rainbow posible. But they are holding tight to the bottom , the way a brown does. I have lost a few downrigger balls in that hole over the years. I have used light tackle there on many of them. As far as the water temp. have not been there in 4 mos. We will find out here in the next couple of days when I hit the lake. Thanks for all your help. Hey thanks again. I use the Scotty and Cannon. Sounds like your going to have to much fun. Sorry about the snow thing. We will not get any till around the end of Nov. But we sure could use lots of rain. Our lakes are so low after 3 yearts now of little rain.

hey thanks. The dipsy will not trip the downrigger clip , with all that pull ? I only have the magnum divers from luhr-jensen . 1set green and the other set yellow I will give Steve a call tuesday and make sure he gets them out to you. It was the thrillers and the Musky red hot thrillers right. I use the wrangler's and the husky out here for lake trout , browns and stripers. I don't think there is a better made lure

let me understand what your saying here. Put a dipsy on a downrigger and send it down to the desired depth ? What will this do ? How much set back from the ball ? What speed to troll at ? I have never put a dipsy on the downrigger befor, hell never even crossed my mind Should I run one on each downrigger ? Matt did you get those Sisco Kids yet.

There is a lake I fish out here , called Lake Siskiyou. At the back of the dam , they had a dirt dam and a hole 152' deep. In that hole there are some big browns that hang in. I have tried to jig for them in the hole, hit the downriggers on the walls of the hole. Now brings up the copper what and how guys ,can I troll that hole with the copper ? it starts from 55' to the drop off of the hole 152' Help please

Dam Ray, these yankee's are all over you, whats up with that.

This report was from last year. The other guy had to shot the bear, to keep it from killing his partner. They use this system up here it the mountains. The trap is set on the ground and the bear walks in . The door closes and they winch it back in the truck. Then take the bear miles from where it was caught. In hopes it will not return to the settlements, where stupid people feed them. Then they want them out. The bear was there first, not the stupid flatlanders. They should move the people out

Well , we sucked at the derby. We took a gambel and where going after big browns and lost. 0 Fish for us on saturday. The guy in the lead only had 5.8 lbs for two fish. We had 30 and 40 mph winds all day saturday. The only cool thing is we found a pod of sturgeon , and where going after them . On monday night. Sunday I hook a small brown of only 1 to 2 lbs. So hey we had alot of fun and ate some great bbq on my boat. Ok Ray I am waiting

Raymond , If you did it wrong, I could understand her being upset. I will join after this derby this weekend. The weather dude is calling for winds up to 40 mph today and saturday. This will keep alot of people off the water. Take care I am heading to my houseboat for the weekend. That will be our base of operation for this derby.

Ray they are all Silver Streak spoons, They are green and silver. and for some reason , thiis is how they showed in the picture. ( chip ) Cliff the owner of Silver Streak send those out to me. I think our lake is just about ready to flip. All the big fish where hugging the bottom. The fishfinder had some at 90' and 100' .We thought they might be some 2 or 3lbers. But it was not so.

Man those are some hogs, We need to get some of them out here. What kind of stick bait are you using ?

My old friend Patch and I where on the water at 6;50 am, just as it started to get light. Headed to the Squa arm of the lake. @ downriggers at 100' , steelline and dipsy 90' and the copper at about 60'. All our bass where caught at 90 to 100' and one at 60'. We need to go deeper for the trout. water temp at surface 67.4 at 60' 64.7 . Battery went dead in Depth raider. All bas where caught on Silver Streak spoon and one on a yo-zuri All the big fish held tight to the bottom 120' to 200'

With the money at $ 3,000.00 I was talked into fishing the derby. So at first light headed out and take all I have learned, from you all. Planner boards and dipsy divers with the downriggers all working . To pre fish the derby. So I hope I make all you teachers proud.

You could not wake those clowns up , if it hit them in the head.They are in the blame game , finger pointing . They made some real bad decisions and we get to pay for it. They keeping wanting to make it, so that we all live by the same standards. They are struggling in there minds why some people do not want to work. So if they don't want to work , they give it to them, to be equal to the rest of us who do work. Man that was a great idea. They could not even pay rent if it were not for hud and a few other programs. I think we should start a campagin , when they screw up, they have to pay and not the American People. 545 people making the dicision, for how many million ?
