  1. Congrats on the new boat, very nice!
  2. Thanks for the visual FishingFool34! I didn't want to draw on my phone or computer with a marker
  3. Not sure about an iPhone, but with a Droid phone I just attach them straight from my phone. Down below, see the paper clip symbol and "click to choose files" ? Click on that to attach pics directly from your iPhone. Again, it's only a suggestion because that's how I attach pics with my Droid phone.
  4. Long shaft or short shaft? Tiller steer? Electric start, rope start, or both? Charging system to charge the batteries?
  5. I work until 2:00pm today. As long as your gunwale isn't more than 7" thick, it should fit. PM me your number and I can call or text you this afternoon.
  6. Selling two sets of triple rod holders. They are in excellent working condition. I installed new T-screws on all 6 rod holders last summer. I use them for rod and net storage, and to run planer boards. They are still mounted on my boat, and will stay on my boat until someone buys them. These triple rod holders are NOT rated for dipsy divers. They were repaired before I bought them, as there are welds around the base piece. But they have always worked well for me. I'm selling them to upgrade to a different style of rod holders. $75 for each set of triples, or $150 for both. Local pickup around Watertown NY. These sell for $150 each when new. Buyer pays shipping. Price is firm.
  7. I am selling my 3 step boat ladder. It hooks over the gunwale, measures 36" long and 15" wide. It has the 7" wide hooks. It's in good working condition, and I think it is stainless steel. $25 local pickup around Watertown NY.
  8. At certain depths & certain speeds, you will see your rigger weights. I run 12# torpedos. Sometimes I can see them on my sonar, sometimes I can't. I run a Humminbird 1198 and a Lowrance HDS 9 Gen 3 with a 50/200/455/800 HDI skimmer transducer. In other words, don't change your rigger weights. You're not doing anything wrong.
  9. I fished out of a friend's 16ft deep V Polar Craft a bunch of times from 2004-2007. It was a very solid boat and great to fish out of. We didn't troll on Lake Ontario with it but we fished some choppy water in Chaumont Bay.
  10. Thanks for taking the time to write up a great and detailed report!
  11. I paint my rigger weights black, but I have no idea if my catch rate would increase, decrease, or stay the same if I left them unpainted.
  12. True statement about fishing rough water on the NE end of Lake O. We either learn to fish rough water, or we sit on the dock and watch the wind blow. Not to mention the strong currents we get up here.
  13. Never seen one before. Someone better have a really strong downrigger to lift a 25 pound weight.
  14. Great job on the boat! Best of luck this year.
  15. Just curious to see if anyone has any of these old style Penn rigger weights with the Penn line release & tab mechanism. I have two of the complete 6# weights. I also have two of the 10# weights, but only one has the Penn release & tab. Im looking for some of these weights to use on the smaller lakes. Let me know what you have.
  16. Sorry, sold it last year.
  17. I don't mind wading when it's this hot outside. I wear shorts and sandals for that reason. I agree that Stony is the best launch for not needing boots. PM sent
  18. I stopped by the launch yesterday, July 8th, to check on the water level. It's still at the top of the wall.
  19. It depends on which part of the lake you fish on. There's a major difference in water conditions between Olcott and Henderson, especially in April, May and June. The salmon finally seem to be showing up in the Henderson area, from what I've been told. My first and only salmon trip this year was last month and we never moved a rod. I'll try for salmon again tomorrow. I fish several other lakes besides Lake Ontario, so I can't confirm or deny what type of salmon season we are having.
  20. Just wondering if you got your HDS working properly yet, and if so, what did you do to fix it?
  21. Very cool, sounds like a great program!
  22. I was just saying that it's easy to attach pictures directly from your phone or computer, no need for using photo apps. Post your boat in the classified Section where it will get more views. Good luck with the sale.
  23. Wow, that's strange. Never saw that happen before.
  24. I trolled with a kicker motor. My boat also had a 70# thrust 24v trolling motor on the bow that I used when bass fishing. The trolling motor needs a very long shaft because of the height of the bow.
