  1. Go into the main Classifieds page and look just below the introductory paragraphs. There's a bar there that says "start new topic" or something like that (I'm not looking at it right now). You will see a place to put in what you are seeking or selling, then a drop down menu that let's you choose several "for sale", "wanted", and "sold/closed" options. Then a place to give more details on what you are selling or looking for.
  2. No, it's just my sarcastic way of saying I am technologically impaired when it comes to smart phones and computers
  3. If you post a "wanted" ad as a new post in the Classified section, I'm sure you will get some replies. Best of luck with your with your search and congrats on the new boat.
  4. Thanks for the info Tyee. I'm really looking forward to next year.
  5. I'm going with a 50/200 ducer instead.
  6. Catchy
  7. Walleye A Y
  8. Atlantic T
  9. Looking for a ducer for my HDS 7 Gen2. My HDS 7 came with an HST-WSBL ducer. It works but it doesn't give me the downscan capability. I can get a new one online for $193, but wanted to see if there's a used one available from someone who upgraded to a better transducer.
  10. This one is for the cable steer without a hydraulic pump. https://www.hodgesmarine.com/Lowrance-Outboard-Pilot-Cable-Steer-Pack-p/low000-11749-001.htm
  11. Pap, that mentality might be why there are so many rotted boats wasting away in people's yards, maybe they weren't willing to take less than what they thought it was worth.
  12. Thanks Pap!
  13. By the way, $350 was his asking price for that HDS 7 Gen2, so I didn't try to offer anything less. I've seen enough HDS units on eBay to know I better jump on that offer before it was gone.
  14. Lol, ain't that the truth...
  15. Your technique worked, good job!
  16. Looks like we have a winner. I couldn't get the squares to move so I could rearrange them...
  17. They have some good prices on electronics. Luckily I found my unit for $350 shipped. With the price of the AP, that puts me about $700 over my budget
  18. I've fished on at least 3 different boats this year that have AP, and it's a great game changer when fishing with just 2 guys in the boat.
  19. Tyee is correct. Thanks again!
  20. Thanks, good to know. I'll check it out.
  21. I think I finally found a good deal on an HDS 7 Gen2 non touch unit with the 83/200 transducer. So it's real tempting to get the Lowrance Outboard Pilot today while West Marine has their 15% off sale. Free shipping, and even with the $88 sales tax it's still $105 cheaper than the normal $1,300 selling price.
  22. That's a possibility too. Evinrude put a "weak" alternator in these 1989 150's. At 800 RPM they only put out 3 amps. At 5000 RPM they only put out 9 amps. But their 175HP motors from the same year were put on steroids in comparison, putting out 15 amps at 800 RPM and 35 amps at 5250 RPM. I'm still looking for a good deal on a used HDS. I'm a Humminbird guy by choice. I just can't wrap my head around the high cost of Lowrance HDS units. I can buy a new Gen 1 Helix 10 SI for $830 with fee shipping. Too many Lowrance units don't include the transducer, which also doesn't make sense to me. But like I said, I'm still looking for a used HDS gen 2 or 3 for the right price. And I want one with a 83/200 ducer at a minimum.
  23. Lol, you are right about that. Maybe I should consider a small wind turbine. There doesn't seem to be a shortage of wind up here.
