  1. DIY Flasher, Dipsy, Cowbell Storage I bought some of those cloth and mesh shoe pouches that hang over a door, then cut them to fit the front and back of my cuddy door, and inside my main bulkhead door. I used #10 screws, acorn nuts and 1/16" x 3/4" aluminum bar stock to hand the pouches on my cuddy door. I used #10 screws and 1/8" x 3/4" aluminum bar stock to hang the pouches on my bulkhead door. I'll be adding some more pouches inside the cuddy for storing other items, but these are going to come in real handy. I didn't have any dipsy divers in my boat when I snapped these pictures. Thanks for looking.
  2. This boat is a fishing machine. The truth is, Matt needed to downsize to a smaller rig, so he bought my 17ft aluminum canoe. Look at all the money he'll save
  3. Lake Bonaparte in Lewis County NY, no rain anywhere, just a cool looking random rainbow.
  4. I thought your kicker motor was a little older, which is why I posted the models this manual covers. Sorry it didn't work out.
  5. Thanks for the report Shawn. A "bad" report is better than no report. Good luck Sunday.
  6. I could do that. How does $25 sound? Here are the models it covers... It's in like-new condition.
  7. Thanks Landshark, much appreciated!
  8. Thanks for the info Laker Taker and Sk8rs! I'm always looking at used fishing gear. I've had good luck with the Okuma GLT 8.5' downrigger rods and Magda Pro 30 & 45 reels.
  9. Yep, and that Laker was caught on a spoon, on a rigger, down 40ft over 100ft of water. It was the only rod we moved all day. It might have been 18-20" long.
  10. Catching fish is a bonus, but don't get upset if you get skunked. Have fun whether you catch anything or not. I hope he has a quick recovery. Best of luck, be safe and just have fun out there.
  11. Nice looking boat.
  12. His boats are notorious for cruising at top speed right across your bow while your trolling, and crowding any boat that is seen netting a fish. It's the most unprofessional fleet of boats I've ever encountered on the water in over 30 years of fishing the great lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. He barely got a slap on the wrist for his duck hunting violations. He probably made enough money on those 2 hunts to pay for his $5,000 fine.
  13. Thanks for the kind words! The top of that 6" bolt has a wing nut and a fender washer on it, so it can be installed by one person from outside the hatch. It's my second design because the first one was more complicated and not as bug-proof.
  14. It might help if you post more pics of the boat as it currently sits in the water. Your last picture doesn't show the Honda kicker motor mounted. The first pics don't do the boat any justice. New detailed pics of the boat, trailer, equipment and features will help sell your boat. Just my opinion... Nice updated pics! Good luck with the sale.
  15. DIY Window & Hatch Screens Our boat doubles as a camper and fishing boat so I decided to make my own window and hatch screens to keep the bugs out of the boat, especially those biting and stinging bugs. The biting flies and skeeters have been real aggressive this year, so making these screens was a priority. Each piece of wood has 2 coats of polyurethane to seal out the elements, and they were assembled with stainless steel screws.
  16. Those are nice boats!
  17. List of Closed Boat Launches I got this off the local news web site in northern NY. There's is also a link to the NY DEC at the end of the article. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2017/05/lake_ontario_st_lawrence_river_nys_boat_launches_which_ones_are_now_closed.html#incart_river_home
  18. Thanks Laker Taker!
  19. What size/type boat are you using?
  20. Congrats on a good day of fishing!
  21. Can't beat that, thanks for the report!
