  1. Seems like you have to go south of Mexico to have any real success with trout and salmon right now.
  2. Were Any Fish Caught Upper East End? I haven't seen any fishing reports from the Jefferson County shoreline. Seems like fishing was good along the south shore, SE and out west. Nothing but crickets north of Mexico...
  3. Sold! Another good LOU member to do business with
  4. Thanks, I haven't seen this launch since last fall when the water was 3ft or more below the top of that wall. That floating dock was sitting on the boat ramp.
  5. You don't delete it, just edit your original post and change it to sold. There's a sticky on how to do it, but it's usually pretty easy to do.
  6. The weekend marine and weather forecasts don't look very inviting, especially Sunday, 2-4ft, becoming 4-7ft, rain/snow possible all weekend. I'll probably stay home are work around the house and yard
  7. Pm sent
  8. Here's a local news story from this morning in Chaumont... http://www.wwnytv.com/story/35300753/worst-flooding-in-2-decades-chaumont-residents-say
  9. Probably in his back yard right about now
  10. Very nice!
  11. That main street in Sackets that leads to the launches is like a dirt/gravel road before asphalt was invented. It's an absolute mess down there.
  12. Night fishing might be a bad idea until the debris clears up a bunch.
  13. Congrats on a good day on the water!
  14. In order to get the "text book" answer I recommend you call both the US and Canadian border patrols. Both countries seem to enforce different laws and policies, which only adds to the confusion. Crossing into the US is one thing. Crossing back into Canada could be entirely different.
  15. Pap, he was talking about a 3ft storm surge that might have washed some docks away. I've personally seen 3-4ft waves on Chaumont Bay when the wind is steady out of the west/SW. Regardless of where anyone fishes Lake Ontario and it's bays/tributaries, keep a sharp eye out for floating debris. Some of that debris is floating slightly below the top of the water, so you won't see it until you are right on top of it. We're talking docks, dock pilings, trees, lumber, you name it.
  16. I don't fish the bay, and I've only been there a few times, but I can tell you that there are some very shallow shoals hiding out there.
  17. Wow, that puts a wrinkle in things.
  18. Can't beat that for an easy fix!
  19. I have no plans to replace the cassette radio in my 87 Bayliner. I don't usually play music while I'm fishing anyway.
  20. Someone posted in another thread that Henderson is open.
  21. Les brings up a good point... Some of these new gadgets are too complex for some of us . I find the Humminbirds that I own to be reasonably simple to adjust and use. Not being very tech savvy, I really like my 959ci HD
  22. Oh, I love when apps take over and start making decisions FOR us.
