  1. Thanks for the replies! It looks custom made to me too, and someone did a fantastic job on it. It fits this hardtop like a glove.
  2. It came on my Bayliner 2160 and I've already been asked numerous times who made it. It is welded aluminum and I can't find anything like it on the internet. Any ideas? (don't mind the horn, I was in the middle of cleaning it out)
  3. He removed some old wires that were just taking up space, got the float switch working on the front bilge pump, installed a Humminbird 959 with GPS, a Humminbird 859 with DI and GPS, and installed a Moor Sub Troll. He also re-wired the marine radio and antenna. He cleaned up the entire area behind the helm and also removed wires throughout the hull and engine compartment that were no longer in use. Here are some pics of his finished work...
  4. I needed 2 fish finders installed, and a Moor Sub Troll. So I hired my electrician to come out today and work his majic in my 1987 Bayliner Trophy. Here are some before pictures...
  5. Still for sale.
  6. Thanks Pap! I didn't spare any expenses after I bought this boat last year because I planned to keep it for another 20 years. It fishes like an absolute dream, even on Lake Ontario in 4-5ft seas. But with my wife's medical issues, mainly the bladder, she needs a porta-potty and a bed to lay down on if she's in a lot of pain. The Lowrance fish finder that I am leaving on the boat works so well at marking fish that my son though it had it in Demo mode. I had bought a new Humminbord 859 with DI and GPS last October, installed it, then winterized the boat without ever using it. So I am putting that 859 on my "new" Bayliner, along with a new 959 without DI or SI. The 859/959 are as big as my Bayliner dashboard will fit behind the windshield. The same marine electrician who rewired this Sea Nymph last year will be here tomorrow to help me install my electronics on the Bayliner. He does great work, and is very thorough. He works full time at a local marina, and runs his own marine electrical business on the weekends and the off season. If you fish this weekend, be safe and best of luck!
  7. When the salmon aren't biting, this is a great bass boat for big water or bass lakes.

  9. Thanks for looking, it found a home with the first member who contacted me.

  12. I'm rigging my "new" boat with Penn manual downriggers, so I am selling my Mag 20 downrigger. It comes with a single rod holder, Cannon weight retrieval line, new Scotty SS downrigger cable (200ft) with terminal kit, and 24"-53" telescopic boom. I don't have a base for this rigger. It is equipped with the adjustable Positive Ion Control (PIC) knob. I added alligator clips and a fuse holder so I can show you that it works as it should. This rigger retrieves the cable at a rate of 250ft per minute and takes up to a 20lb rigger weight. Asking $275 OBRO. I'm located in zip code 13619, NY.
  13. Bump! Bass season starts this weekend...
  14. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I still have your cell number, so we'll be in touch.
  15. Thanks for the reply! I do like those Amish bags.
  16. Congrats on getting the countertops installed! Yes, I'm still wanting to exchange motor parts. I just haven't had the time to finish taking apart my 7.5. But it's w great motor for my utility boat, so I rally want to get it shortened ASAP.
  17. Sounds good Lew. At the rate I'm going, I won't hit the water until early July. Graduation parties are burning up all of June, and I'm not installing my electronics on the Bayliner until this weekend. No hurry though, everything will be 100% sound when I hit the water.
  18. You made it sound like you are a member of the high seas club, Lol. I've also seen some brutal SW winds on the bay too. The only ones having fun in those conditions are the jet skis. We skipped the shakedown cruise yesterday and took my sister-in-law and her family to Boldt Castle. So, they got a boat ride, but it was on one of Uncle Sam's boats.
  19. You're a lucky man! Most people only get to drop a probe once . Now you get another chance...
  20. Those conditions can be hard to fish in. Today looks like a great day to be on the water, which is where I'll be later today, taking an afternoon shakedown cruise with the family who is visiting from Florida. I already test drove the boat before I bought it, so I know the major systems are working perfectly. I will have my electronics installed this weekend and I'll be fishing the first weekend on July. No rush though, I want everything working right when I do get out there.
  21. Yep, 4-6 might have sounded more fun in my younger days, but I'm too broke now to beat myself up any more than I have to. Did you catch anything Chas? That chop can get wicked on that bay.
  22. The kicker does not have controls. I use the connector rod between the main and the kicker. Having this 15hp kicker sure pays off in conditions that might push harder against a smaller motor. I put the throttle friction knob on the throttle handle, so it stays at whatever speed you set it at. I try to keep my boat simple so there is less that can go wrong. The pull start usually works on the first or second pull. I use a 3 gallon tank for the kicker. If I part out the kicker I would need to get $700 for it, which doesn't come close to what I got into it. I bought a shop manual, owners manual, new Evinrude kill switch, the throttle friction knob, and the new prop that's still in the box. I bought spare parts and manuals because I thought I would have this boat for the next 20 or 30 years.
  23. I've only had one person look at it, so it might still be available then.
