    17 is fine to fish out of if the waves are 2 foot or less. Anything larger and it gets kind of tough to get the gear set, etc. We have good days and bad days all season long, not really any best time

    100% Agree I have caught plenty of salmon in the mouth on flies in the tributaries as late as november when there are hardly any left.

    This is a pretty sweet unit! I was looking at one for my 18 footer because of its compact size and features. Too rich for my blood at the moment though!

    We did 7/7 this AM from 80-330 with 2 Majors. Mostly a Coho Fly/spinny bite for us. Inside bite shut off quick for us.

    Went out with a good friend yesterday afternoon. Pushed off around 5:15pm. The screen was FULL of fish pretty much everywhere till we hit 330' so we cut back in. Ended up going 9 for 10 in our short 3 hour trip. Natural colors were the only thing that worked. 100% Salmon bite. It was a fun trip and our first time out in the evening, pretty productive!
