Bob, I'm trying to work around a soy allergy. Would additional salt offset the effect of removing the soy sauce? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Matt

I have some old canvas life vests around somewhere - just have to find them. Are you out this way Thursday or Friday? -
Looking for a tandem canoe in decent shape. I Prefer a 16' class royalex/fiberglass/kevlar but will consider aluminum if it's not a tank since I will need to carry/portage. Let me know what you have and we can talk price. If you have one, are in the rochester area, and would rather just let me borrow/rent, that would be very classy of you. Thanks! Matt

Nice. Thanks for the report. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Thanks for your reply. How high is your highest hook off the bottom? I like the anise tip. I've heard that people use anise for catfish and carp as well. I just ordered 100 of them on ebay for $15. I'll try some salmon fishing this summer as well. I have seen rigs with teasers on them, just orange surgical tubing cut at an angle - right? I have mostly seen these on jigs. Please educate me. That has got to be the largest jig I have heard of being fished! Great story and definitely something I will be thinking about while on the trip! Thank you. I used quicktime and it worked thanks for the hint. I am going to retie the ones I have made and just start off with a longer piece. His method seems sturdier.

I was thinking of doing that with the 3-way swivels, but at this point I am tired of going to find and buy more tackle! Thank you, will be in contact. I'm asking because I don't know - So, a couple inches really does matter when fishing cod? THANK YOU.... What do you guys think of an improved blood loop as a superior alternative to the dropper loop? http://www.fishing.sh/htmfiles/knots/platloop.html Thanks. I can't get his version of the snell to work. He does this thing where he puts the tag end through the eye halfway through the knot. I'm only working with a short piece here, since on a fly the whole rig is 36" finished and mine is 6 with two shells. His video also cuts out after the first snell. I ended up tying standard snells, two in a row and it seems to be very strong. Great point on the benefit of being able to remove a whole hook assembly with the dropper loop. Like I said above, I'll be using 60lb braid with a 50lb mono leader. Nice! How did you tie these to the hook? I'm thinking a small zip tie would work, what do you think? Thank you for the input. Nice! yeah I am really looking forward to this. I will def. update with pictures when we get back.

Bingo. An ounce of good judgement & common sense is worth a ton of rules & regulation.

I like this system. I feel like I get $20 in value, so I pay $20.
