i would like to try and catch some musky on waneta and was wondering how to go about it, as in what types of lures work and when trolling what speeds work, do you use downrigger and what depth should i look for. any info would be great thanks

now your just rubbing it in!! (lol) if you don,t mind me asking what are some of you tips for catching them. I'm just starting out and basically all im useing is a meat rig on the bottom with a couple of sutton spoons, catching lots of fish but no size. thanks

Fished from 6:30am till 10:30 and boated 7 lakers, the largest being 22 inches about 3#. I've been able to catch fish but none with any size just wondering if anyone had any tips to catch some bigger ones. I've been mainly trolling with a meat rig with a couple a sutton spoons one about 1' off bottom the other about 4' and i have fished depth from 70' to 140' with same luck. thanks

I was out by the bluff friday night and the water temp about 3 feet down was between 49 and the warmest i found was 51

just curious as to what type of stick you are using for the lakers. know you said you were fishing in the top 30 feet of water or so but what depth are you fishing over 120 feet or so.. thanks

Have been out twice now, last weekend we caught 7 lakers biggest being about 4 pounds, went out saturday from 7.00 am till 10.00 only caught 3. seemed like about 100 to 110 feet of water was were they were. good luck

Got a chance to do some fishing on keuka today, we were on the water at about 6:30 and fished to about 10:30. pulled planers with stickbaits and had no hits, then moved out deeper for lakers and only had one take the bait about 4pounds, caught him on a sutton 44. slow day but still beats working.

Went out on Waneta lake 4-1-09 with no luck yet.

thanks guys, i only fish on keuka lake,i don't dare take it out on a larger lake, not that u can't get in trouble on keuka.

keuka lake has the samething, ive caught some lakers that look the same but when you clean them they have a pink meat.

I was wondering if anyone has been having any luck ice fishing on keuka lake

seneca lake is very good for large perch especially in march and april good luck
