  1. He's doing pretty good. He's up and walking around a little. He needs to get his strength back. He's thinking the boat will be in around late June or July. That's his incentive to keep moving and exercising!
  2. Glad to see you and the kids got into the fish! I was the guy fishing from the pier as you were going out. I ended up with two browns for the morning. Jim
  3. Was at Port Bay this morning. The wind is out of the southeast at about 3 mph, the lake is as flat as a table, and the water is clear, except for the stained water coming from the streams. This is going to make it tough to find and attract the fish in the shallows. We're going to need some north or west winds to rile up the water again. Jim
  4. Great report Bob! I saw Hank's boat come out of the chute and head west, but didn't realize you guys were on board. We were to the east. We got out a little earlier and got off to a bad start with three misses before we landed the first brown. We ended up with 9 for 13 with 8 browns and 1 steelhead. I was a beautiful morning to be on the lake! Jim
  5. Not this morning. But did catch a couple browns during the week (little guys).
  6. Nice going guys! Did you go east out of the chute? That's been the most productive. I was casting off the pier until the rains came- no luck. Jim
  7. I need to make a slight correction. The first section of each dock (the angled portion from the stationary pier to the water) is in. There is a second portion (the level floating section) that still needs to be installed. But its still possible to launch your boat. Jim
  8. I forgot to mention, but the docks went in at both the north and south public launches last Wednesday. Jim
  9. Andy, I sent you a pm. Jim
  10. Cool pictures Dick! I had a fox den in the woods, behind my house two years ago. Every once in a while, they would venture into the back yard. The cats didn't appreciate it! Jim
  11. That's too bad Bob. I was really looking forward to it. I won't be able to make the May dates. It's the same weekend of the Wilson Invitational Tournament. If anyone is still going to be around Port Bay this weekend, and needs some company, let me know (I don't mind a little rain!). Jim
  12. Happy birthday Tom. Hope you enjoy the day. Jim
  13. Both Port Bay and Sodus are clear. The channel at Port Bay is being dug out as I'm typing this. They will finish tomorrow. The docks at the two public launches are not in as of today.
  14. My prayers are with you and Zach, Lew. I hope for a speedy recovery. Jim
  15. I'll be there Tom.
  16. I'm happy to report that Mike came home from the hospital on Sunday. His infection is under control, but he now has to work on getting his strength back. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers, Jim
  17. Bruce, I'll take them. PM sent.
  18. For those interested, here's a FYI: When this LOU site first comes up on your PC, before you log in, in the top banner, there is occasionally a "Wayne County Tourism' link that appears there. Mike is the guy on the left holding a salmon he caught in last years Sodus ProAm Tournament.
  19. I'd like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Mike made an unbelievable recovery! He is out of intensive care and is back in his room. He still has a long road to recovery. The infection seems under control, and he is starting to take a few step around the hospital. Thanks again, Jim
  20. My best friend and fishing buddy, Mike McCoy, has been battling esophageal cancer since last fall. He completed debilitating rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, and was operated on two weeks ago. He was doing pretty good up until a few days ago when they discovered a massive infection at the surgical site that quickly spread throughout his entire body and put him back in the intensive care unit where he is being kept under sedation while receiving large amounts of antibiotics. Please keep Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he battles this devastating setback. Thanks, Jim
  21. Happy birthday Nick! I hope you have an excellent day. Jim
  22. Bob, April 14,15,16 are good for me. Nick, I'd like to take you up on the offer. I'm available any time. (Plus, I make for good ballast in choppy seas.) Jim
  23. Happy birthday Mike! Have a great day! Here's hoping for many more! Jim
  24. Hank, Put me down as a participant. As you know, I don't need lodging or dockage. Can't wait to see everyone, and meet some new people. Let me know what I need to bring. Jim
  25. I'll be available if anyone needs an observer. If I can't fish this great tournament, at least I can be a part of it by observing. 02/05 Update- No more pm- I now have a ride. Jim Mehegan Please pm me.
