  1. Nice looking crappie Todd!! A few more would have been even nicer! Good luck to you and Bree at Sandy this weekend. Stay safe on that ice. Jim
  2. I just got mine today also. I enjoyed reading about all the activities that I missed in January!!
  3. Doug, Last spring, I observed at the WHI aboard a 26 foot, center console Pacific with full canvas. It was a beautiful boat to fish from and handled Ontario quite nicely. I was impressed with the quality construction of the boat. All seems were full weld- no tacks. The Web address is: http://www.pacificboats.com/pacboats_023.php If you would like more information, send me a PM, and I can give you the captains name and phone. Jim
  4. Have a happy birthday Skipper- and many more!! Jim
  5. I also am interested in seeing the movie 'Grey', Capt Vince! I've set a reminder in my cellphone calendar for January 27! Jim
  6. Shade, This site explains the procedure and how to get it. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/Le ... 65323.html Jim
  7. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! I spent the day with family and friends. For diner, my daughter made one of my favorite meals- Chicken Alfredo Lasagna!! I showed my appreciation by going back for thirds- BIG MISTAKE!!! Jim
  8. Back when I was a kid growing up in Oswego, in the late 50s and early 60s, I had a part time job working in a toys, hobbies and sports store known as 'Aero Sporting Goods' (long gone). One of my responsibilities consisted of assembling kids tricycles, bicycles, baby carriages, Red Rider wagons, etc. This was my busiest time of year, so I never looked at the directions, and hardly ever screwed up (kids intuition)! Now at 66, I need all the help I can get! A couple days ago, my grandson received a 'bunk bed in a box'! Boy, that was the highlight of my day. I took 14 hours, only making 7 mistakes where I had to dis-assemble and re-assemble parts in the right sequence. I followed the pictures in the assembly manual, but still managed to screw it up. I realized that with age comes some stupidity! I was over thinking the directions and screwing up in the process. As a kid, I just 'did it' and gave it much thought. Jim
  9. Happy Birthday Vic! I hope you have a great day!!
  10. Here's a couple of pictures of the chunky little devils (I'm talking about the fish!!). I don't think you could have planned a more perfect December day to be fishing for perch! Winds were calm, sun was warm, fish were steady, company was great!! Had a great day! Jim

  12. Chad, Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! My seven year old Grandson has been asking when the Xmas lights will be posted. He loves to break them one at a time!!! Jim

  19. Way to go Jeff!! But remember- those two and the one I caught are the only ones going in to spawn this year (and the two I missed yesterday!)!! All the rest are headed to Oswego and the Salmon River!! I may see you tomorrow morning- even though we know there are no more fish in the channel (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)!! Jim
  20. Got over to Fair Haven around 6 this morning hoping the rain would stop. It slowed to a light drizzle, so I decided to try the channel for a while. There were a few salmon coming through, but not many. I did manage to go 1 for 1 with a nice male king, around 20 - 22 lbs. (I think). Sorry, the picture came out a little dark. I struck up a conversation with a nice fellow who was also fishing the channel. It turned out to be a fellow LOU member, MeatHunter737 (Jeff)! I hope to run into you again Jeff! That was the only fish action for the morning! It's still early. Give it another week or two. Jim
  21. Happy birthday Hank!! I hope you are enjoying your day! Jim
  22. Skach, I'd recommend using the public launch on the west side of Sodus Bay, along route 14. It's located just north of Arney's Marina, has a good staging area and parking area across the road from the launch. If you open Google Maps, Sodus Bay, and find Arney's Marina, switch to satellite view, and you'll see the launch, staging area and parking lot right off Margaretta Road. This is a great way to get your bearings before you get there. I just checked where harpursville New York is. Boy do you have a ride!! Let me know if you need any more help. Jim
  23. Excellent report Tim!! I'm surprised that you and Jeff could even raise your arms after all that action!! Way to Go!! Jim
  24. Thanks for sharing your fishing trips with us. I enjoyed your play-by-play reports, both the good and the bad. I look forward to reading about your next outing. By the way, when you were at the Orchard View Country Market, you missed the best ever key lime pie back in the coolers. The meringue alone is three inches high! Delish!! Jim
