I used to get a cover from bass pro or wal mart and they would fall apart after 2 years. Now I am in year six with a semi-custom from Carver(I think). It's still in good shape plus the outboard cover is built in. I think i paid around $350. It fits like a glove too. And now that I've talked it up it will probably get shredded in the wind tonight. Hit send by mistake.[emoji12]i wanted to add that the great lakes restoration fund could not stop the mussels, milfoil,or gobies when they were fully funded so why give them $300,000,000 to not be able to stop asian carp. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

If you want lower taxes, smaller government, and more freedom you should be ready to give up some of the government money that goes to what you approve of. A lot of us rip on food stamps, medicaid, and other entitlements, but we're fine with money for fish stocking and nice boat launches. If you read "art of the deal" you'll see how Trump will start by asking for three times what he expects to get. In this case that means he expects to cut the great lakes restoration fund by 33% and not the 97% he's proposed. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I need some no BS musky lure help
old man replied to jigstick's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
I don't troll anymore but I see a lot of boats trolling there with down rods. Maybe that helps with weeds? And I know Baker baits trolled there catch fish. I have caught some myself there trolling Bakers. I just hate trolling. I would rather cast all day and get shut out than troll. But that's just me. Good luck out there. The composite decking you speak of is thicker than any wood boat floor. You would have to replace the whole floor. I used to do floors with plywood coated with fiberglass resin. Now i have a boat with no wood in it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Bass guys kill me as well. Get a $70,000 Ranger and add $7,000 in electronics and $5,000 in power poles and then fish in two feet of water next to a dock. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Hope you find one you like. I shop for boats every winter and every boat I like costs more than the house i live in. I don't know anyone that can afford some of these Rangers,Tuffy's,Recons. Nice boats but $80,000? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Swift's landing is a park halfway between Palmyra and Newark. Turn left on galloway road and cross the bridge. Another left and you 're in the park. Go all the way to the end. Ignore the nut job that lives in the white hundai. He is creepy but harmless. Go over both bridges and back across the spillway. Fish the whitewater there and work back from there to the bridge over Galloway road. Lots of pike and a few walleyes in there. Lots of snags too, take extra tackle. Musky Fishing - What is your preferred LB test line?
old man replied to BlueEye's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
I'm using 65lb power pro on all my rods. I used 80 for a while but it seemed like overkill. I just wish it held it's color longer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Swifts landing to galloway bridge has been good for pike this winter except when runoff makes it muddy and fast. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I must have missed something. In previous years I would have received a MI calendar by now. Today I received a letter from MI asking for a donation for which I would receive a calendar. Don't get me wrong,I don't care if I get a calendar or not. And I made a decent donation when I last renewed. But I have to question the marketing. Asking your membership for a donation the week after Christmas is poor timing at it's best. And who wants a calendar in this day and age anyway? I would buy an MI hoodie or collectable bait in a minute. Calendar, not so much. "26 shirts" out of Buffalo does it right. They put out a design and take orders by a certain date then place the order. No leftover inventory or waste that way. Just sayin. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
