  1. Couple more details: the fish i contacted were all in 4fow or less. And all before 10 am. I saw two big ones. One was just off the point by the marina. The other was on the west side in front of a place with a red kayak or canoe strapped on a boat hoist. I shoulda had that one. I came back an hour later and moved it again. No score. In my defense you can't see them coming in a kayak and i don't have the kayak figure eight worked out yet. A work in progress. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. I caught 2 small ones and missed a few. Water is clear and warm. Water is pretty low. i snuck up on this one under the stump. Didn't catch that one.only bait i could get looked at. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I have never done this one but i will be there this year. Do we need any food? If so message me with a list. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I'll donate this.it's a Hoosier handmade painted by Zach. Says "ny musky 69" on it. I bought it in an auction while drinking. But i am too old,too weak and have too much arthritis to use it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Pulled into Clayton today to find a big Crownline on fire and taking on water. we got the folks in our boat and hung around while the fire dept and tow boats usa did their thing. Towboatusa gets $179/half hour but at this point what are your options? As for fishing i have seen no muskies. Water temp is mid seventies. Pike are eating as are walleyes. Three boats here at west winds are limiting twice a day. They cross over to Grindstone and head downriver if that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  7. Every fall i fish the slr for a week out of Clayton. Usually it's the last week of september or first week of October. This year it's the first week in September due to family and work cwap. Looks like i'm dealing with unusually warm water as well. I'm sure i can whack a bunch of pike but i smell a musky skunk here. Anyone have any tips for this situation? Thanks. 8. There are some good points on both sides in this thread;though the etiquette could improve some. I can only control what happens in my boat. Everything gets released on my turf. I fish barbless and take what i feel are excess hooks off a lot of my baits. My go pro lets me gets photos while having fish out of water 10 to 15 seconds. Good for me. But any legal fish caught legally is subject to the whims of the angler. Eat it,nail it's head to the back of your shed, feed it to your cat. Your fish, your call. I don't agree with a lot of the regulations so i write the dec now and then and ask for higher size limits for pike and musky. As well as lower creel limits for pike. Some esox are always going to get killed by swallowing smaller baits as long as they share waters with bass, walleye, and twout. You can't expect a walleye guy to tie his bayrat on a wire leader behind 80lb braid. So let's agree to disagree and not beat each other up. I will keep trying to change the rules but if you fish within them you'll take no cwap from me. Except maybe on that deep fried tiger video. That was awful. Tight lines my friends. 11. for sure. But my wife needs her Adirondack fix every year. It seems a shame to put 1900 tigers in here every year. The access is not good there. The launch is ok but there is a lot to wreck a boat here and none of it is marked. They should give up on Durant and boost Conesus and Otisco by 950 each. Also,i am not sure what the tigers are supposed to eat at Durant. Never saw a bluegill or perch or any minnow?
  12. I just got back from a few days camping here. One would think in a 300 acre lake that gets 1900 tigers every year that a savvy musky guy like myself could at least see one in 26 hours of casting. Such is not the case. Never saw one and it's not the first time by any means. The fishing is tricky here. About 25% of the lake is not fishable due to weeds to the surface and beyond. In the rest of the lake you have about a foot of water to work in over a solid mat of thick weeds. If the dec is stocking tigers here to create a tiger fishery they are wasting a lot of fish. Maybe they stock them here to keep the bass under control or for loon food? Bass on the other hand are another story. I caught so many lmb i almost enjoyed it. Every one on a black whopper plopper.
  13. Nice work. check out the outfit in my grandson. Kid looks like a musky bait.
  14. September and October are best.
  15. It's an early and late season bite.
  16. Nice work. You get any in the channel? All i can catch there are big lmb.
  17. Only bait i've caught pike on is a black/nickle showgirl. Can't keep the bass off it. Sundown has been best.
  18. I am up here trying for pike and it's been slow. Water is mid seventies. Bass are another story,we're catching lmb from the docks out to 20 fow.

  20. The red line on the map is a musky trolling run a local put on for me. Reed point to round island. 0for so far but who knows?
  21. Thought so. I am staying quite a ways from you. i have never fished around grass point but it looks like pike heaven on the map. Lots of islands and structure to pick through. If that area doesn't produce you could go through the narrows to eel bay. Vast areas of foot high moss but when you find some tall weeds you will catch all the small to mid size pike you can stand. Spoons are good there. Another option from there is start at Clayton yacht club on the drop off and work around the point all the way to west winds cottages. Bigger pike there. Tight lines bud.
  22. I will be up there then as well. Where is grassy point? Is that grass point state park?
  23. I tried there 2 weeks ago. I had a hot one at the boat that didn't eat and nothing but sunburn after that. Lots of weeds floating.
