Fished there for 6 hours today. Had one going at the boat early but no score. Only fish i saw. Clarity pretty good for there,5'or so. I fished from my kayak today. Sooner or later i will get this thing slimed. there is a kayak launch on the lamoka side now. I used it on the way out. A waste of $ imo. Much easier to just pull it out on the grass.
I took my 105 lb husky for a kayak ride. About 50 yards later she got out and over i went. No doubt there are some adult esox there but i didn't find any. Soooo many dinks. I bet i caught 40 fish and the biggest was 20".
Fished here the past few days. First time here. If you want non stop action from Countless starving undersize pike and pickerel this is your lake. There is a lot of walleye trolling here. No boards or riggers, they all just troll slow with flatlines. I saw a few caught, all small. And i fell in yesterday.doh!
Drive through the causeway, shut your boat off and start there. If they are hungry you will catch one there. The ones i've caught there have been in 1 to 10fow. They will hit anything when they're on so throw what you like. Good luck.
Nice fish Bill t. Like fishn ny i get my pics with a go pro. I turn it on once the fish is netted. Then i wave the fish around for ten seconds and release it. That ten seconds gives me 300 stills to pick from and i get my fish back in water faster than most. A nice tool but not cheap. I managed to outlive my mortgage and can afford crap like that. Good luck to all Sat. I hate crowds and will start Tuesday.
i caught one small one with big boga damage. The poor thing's lower jaw was wrecked and had no big teeth.[emoji22]we did witness something cool. Fishing about 20 feet off a shale cliff we heard a commotion at the shoreline and some splashing. Two tigers were chasing a meal. A couple sunnies and a foot long brown swam up on shore to avoid being eaten. We chased off the tigers with our baits and after about 10 seconds the fish flopped back in and swam off close to shore. good time.
i have been asked about these baits in a pm. I can't post a pic there. Probably because i'm old and stupid. At any rate the northerns in Conesus are suckers for this bait. The downside is they get bent up and hairless after 3 or4 fish.
