  1. Good stuff,thanks
  2. my best Conesus pike bait; a 4" redeye painted to resemble a tiger
  3. Conesus has a good population of above average size pike that slaughter the stocked tigers.
  4. I'm available to help on any esox positive initiative. And be thankful for the diverse fisheries we enjoy. If all the twouts were gone it would get pretty crowded casting the weedlines for esox and bass. Same with walleye guys. A very intense group who could really be in my way if they switched to muskies. And for those who believe muskie and pike eat all your favorite fish i ask this: who eats more bass, walleye, and twouts? Muskies and pike or bass, walleye, and twout fishermen? Happy new year to all, catch your new pb whatever you're after!
  5. Cool fish. I am not sure i would get in that water for a photo. There are critters in there that will eat you.
  6. What the heck is wrong with people?
  7. Looks like a quality line up of speakers. I don't go to these because i'll blow tons of money on stuff i don't need.
  8. how far back is that one bait? I think i see spool on that reel.
  9. July is a tough month for pike in these parts. You can stick a few shallow at first and last light. I like blades when the water is warm. Mepps musky maribou, ghostails, any bucktail with a #8 blade or 2. I use double 10's then like super girls but your spinning combo won't handle that. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fight!
  10. I have that on my boat. Good unit at a fair price.
  11. I wish. Looks like i put the boat away too soon. I've been doing well on pike from shore, though.
  12. swift's landing between palmyra and newark. Aqueduct park in palmyra. Butterfly trail in macedon behind fire dept off rt 350. Lots of smb there as well.
  13. yep. I'll take it off when it quits working
  14. I have been catching lots of pike in the canal spillways. i'm taking a trash bag next time.the trash is bad enough but there is no excuse for all that line. Three hooks in it too.
  15. 40 to 50 hours between muskies there. Pretty accurate.
  16. Got it right side up. Pretty tech savvy considering how senile i am. Beautiful musky!
  17. Thought it was one of Larry's pics. Looks great upside down even! Congrats!
  18. Damn! Nice work. Clearly i put my boat away too soon. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
  19. I have that same hat. It used to just be for fishing but i wear it everywhere now. I no longer care what i look like;just want to stay warm. I threw in the towel after work today and winterized my boat. It has to sit in the yard and putting it away properly once winter hits is a pain. I may get out in my canoe once or twice if things work out. Good luck to those still at it!
  20. Nice one! Cool hat too. I just can't get off work this month.
  21. Great fish and photo.[emoji106]
  22. The reason for oiling cylinders is to keep cast iron rings from freezing in the ring grooves due to condensation induced rust. The best access to these is through the plug holes. On a four stroke if you rotate the engine 90 degrees, fog the cylinder, and do this 8 times you will also coat all the valves and seats. It may not be necessary but it won't hurt anything and may save engine damage.
  23. If you have a pool and it's covered you should have a fair amount of rain water in it. Keep your bait there and use your skimmer to take out as needed. No maintenance needed and most will still be alive in the spring.
