  1. It can be tough to do with a nine foot rod and a four foot net handle. I like to practice by netting the small ones you would otherwise let shake off or grab behind the head. Thanks for the camera info. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. When i fish alone(95% of the time) i only have one seat in the boat. I keep my baits in plastic boxes in the live well so i'm not tripping over two big lakewood boxes like i used to. I keep my net in one of the empty mounts for the seat pedestals. The less stuff in the way the less likely you are to get the net hung up or stumble. I pinch my barbs down so unhooking is easy. My go pro is down there with rougarou's phones. Is the action cam easy to use? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  4. Some funny comments here. Some are tongue and cheek i guess. Long ago my first wife suddenly stopped nagging me about going fishing and became supportive of it. "You work hard,go fishing, you deserve it" she would say. I used to leave for the Larry around 3am. All of a sudden it was "you should go the night before and stay there,it's so much driving. You should stay two nights and make it worth the drive". Guess why? Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. i could get that pass but i haven't. I don't mind paying for things i actually use like quality boat launches. I just wish i could get a pass on paying for welfare, food stamps, heap, head start, abortion, transgender rights, gun control, wic, earned income credit, etc, etc, etc.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. I baby and pamper my boats with the best of them. But when the day comes when it she gets her first ding it's also a relief. I don't have to be so anal about bumpers and where i tie it up and whatnot anymore. I made it 5 years on my current boat before she got any dock rash,my personal best. 7. Just thinking and i'm no biologist but would some kind of ramp or fish ladder in the conesus inlet be beneficial? Maybe MI69 could help with it? If so,I'm in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. looks like these muskies have it down Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Myself and the guys i know give kayaks and canoes a lot of space and are mindful of our wakes. BUT,a kayak between shore and my boat or in choppy water can be tough to see. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  12. the launch at otisco valley campground is good,as is the parking. $9.00. Good coffee there as well. That other place you mentioned is tough.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. ten pound pike face planting the dam, doh! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I don't fish for walleye or know much about them. I get a few each year by accident and release them. My brother is a walleye guy. He fishes Oneida. He's tried Otisco but says they're too hard too catch there because there is so much bait in the lake. I really don't know. But i wonder...if otisco got stocked every year and the walleye fishing got to a fantastic level wouldn't the word get out and the lake get crowded? Is that really what we want there? Justin says catch rates for walleye are up there. Maybe things are ok as is? God bless those that target bass, walleye, and twout! More esox for me.😜 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. I saw some that looked about 10 lbs. no giants, but the visibility was not the best. There were a lot of 4/5 lb size fish around. Thanks Larry,i'll check that out. REALLY ready to get out and fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. I went there this morning. Water is muddy. Lots of pike, didn't see any walleye. Tons of dead carp in the marsh. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I bought a "semi custom" carver boat cover. It has an outboard cover built in. Still intact after 3 years. The wal mart and bass pro covers i've owned have ripped after 2 years. I had a snap on cover that came with my Lund but it was brutal to get on with arthritis and carpal tunnel. If i had a lift i'd spring for a canopy. Or build one. 20. For pike you can't beat a nickle red eye 4" spoon. The mepps rougarou mentioned is good too. Also a mepps musky maribou in black and white is killer on northerns. Downside is they get bent up and lose a lot of hair after a few fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
