How about a senior division? Once you're over 60 you get to cut the first 5 inches off your tape measure. Of course I'm o for 3 in tournaments so that really won't help.
4 of us started around 6 am. Cast until one with one follow to show for it. Got really wet. Then we came upon a dead one.40"er. Real beat up,2 quarter size holes in her mouth. Did not appear to be feeding well. I was going to take it to the hatchery for an autopsy or whatever. 5 minutes later we come upon this: heavy 40"fish without a mark on it. Missing a fin but fully healed there. Not quite dead yet. Tried to get her going for half an hour,no go. Blessed them and buried them at sea. wish I had not taken this pic. Makes me sick to my stomach. Had to bail after that.
Happy birthday and good for you for fishing with dad. Those days are the best and don't last forever.that's my old man a looooong time ago. I celebrated your birthday by buying 2 bakers from mto. Fire tiger and the black and white one.
I did catch one on a baker I got in an auction the first time I used it. Someone needs to bid this up a bit. Maybe I can get a new personal best for money spent on a bait.
Tough fishing beats no fishing. I'm in week 6 of family medical leave taking care of the post-op wife. Cooking, cleaning, watching bridezillas and hgtv. But with all the money I saved on truck and boat gas I can bid up zach's auction. That bait won't go cheap.
I will cut that guy some slack, maybe he was bass fishing. A lot of muskies get caught by folks after other species. They just don't know what to do. When I joined muskies inc. I got this release tips pamphlet. If we had them available at the launches of all Muskie waters perhaps we could save a few muskies from harm. We can get holders for the pamphlets for about ten bucks each. I don't know what muskies inc. would charge for pamphlets. If someone wants to take charge of putting them up I am willing to pay for it up to about 500 bucks. I'm thinking ten on the Larry, ten on Niagara ,one at waneta, coneseus, cannadarago .kick it around at the next meeting.
