I put a merc 9.9 on my boat this year. I want to hook up the electric start over the winter. What size wire do I use? Thanks. Easier to ask here than google it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Whatever you cover it with has to be well supported everywhere. Snow gets heavy fast. You can’t have too much support. I’ve used all kinds of wood, lawn furniture, conduit, pvc pipe, you name it. Try to keep it brushed off. Be careful using a shovel as you can easily rip the cover. Like the other guy said,a tarp over the boat cover will let a lot of snow slide off. I’ve kept my boats outside forever but this weekend I have arrived. I’m moving and have indoor boat storage at last. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Perhaps the 36” minimum is paying off there? A 36” tiger has been around a bit and seen a lot of baits. Probably been caught. The minimum should be at least 36” everywhere if not higher. Everyone who targets these fish releases them anyway so they won’t care. Could save some fish from the pan. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Fall tips for casting at Waneta?
old man replied to Dan M's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
Only tip I can give is stay at it. I caught one Saturday on the west side in 2 fow. It hit a black/nickel super girl. Not a magic bait, just what I had on as I waded through the box. I don’t have a bait I can recommend other than what you have tied on when you find a hungry one. It’s hard to see followers there so it’s extra important to play the bait around at the end of the cast. Make enough casts, you’ll get one. Fishing pressure on them will be easing up now. Next couple weeks should be good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

West winds in Clayton. Super secure docking. 56 steps down to docks though. But I’m 67 and still good there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

i went to check out the docking situation at our rental. Dock was full of small bowfin wallowing around. I pushed them all back in and didn’t they start coming back up through the spaces in the deck boards. I couldn’t keep up. They’re on their own now. I do a week on the river in the same place every September on the same week. A group of four walleye guys are always there at the same time. They are good at it. Every morning they bring back a four man limit and go back out every evening for another. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
