  5. I'll save you some money bud, you don't need a blind. Just find a good tree or brush pile that covers your back and sit still. Unless you are hunting with a bow or have turkeys super patterned to a specific location you don't need a blind in fact it often hinders the mobility you need to get on gobblers. I have similar thoughts on decoys, while they work, and occasionally they are the ticket, more often than not you do not need a decoy, if a turkey is interested they will come looking, sometimes if you have a decoy they hang up or if you need to move or exit you end up busting a bird because you need to screw with a decoy. That being said I have decoys and occasionally use them but they should be good ones, turkeys know what turkeys look like so a cheap decoys should be left on the shelf. Now calls you need, for a beginner I recommend you get a couple mouth calls and play around with them, Some people pick right up on them and they are the best call to use but make sure you get a push button yelper and a pot style call, they are easy to use and get you up and running quick. Rather than a blind get yourself a good turkey vest with a really nice seat cushion, you will thank me for that Good luck

  13. 3 corrections - #1 not disgruntled, I only stated facts and let you know I would be up on your mysterious "ridge" so I did not get shots thrown at me, #2 landowner allows hunting and I'm the one that hunts the ground, #3 I didn't feed the landowner any information I'm pretty sure he has the right to patrol and do whatever he feels he wants to on the land he owns and pays taxes for. If you don't like it and you do as you say "shoot all of these deer on the property you have permission on" then why is it you have all of your treestands right on my posted line? Why note 50 or 60 yards into the property so you can cover more ground? Seems odd you would want to put a stand where you have 180 degrees of area you can shoot anything doesn't it? Yes it does bum me out when a buck or two that I try to do QDM on gets harvested but as I said, if it was legal it's all good and I congratulated you, just like I did your dad when he got the big one. I simply let you know I would be hunting to the east of you and I don't wear orange so you and your crew didn't shoot in my direction, pretty legit statement I think unless I'm missing something.
