  6. Crestliner commander 2050 . I love mine so far . I looked at all three. There is not a bit of plastic on a commander. Everything is all metal Ended up going with the commander. I feel it was built better. And have more fishing room with the forward windshield. Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I hope not but electronics are getting harder to compete against. Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Never used a snubber on a Dipsy that much . I never had good luck with them either. But this particular brand came recommended. I just bought them to have. And possibly try at some point. I bought the downrigger snubber to run with my high speed. Mag 10 STX and 16 lb weights. It takes a ton of stress off of your equipment and boat. 9. Isn't that the case with or without a snubber. Not sure I understand how a snubber has anything to do with the distance between the Flasher and fly. 18 to 23 in is usually what I run. That is for any setup. Am I misunderstanding? Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Check out these snubbers I found . They look awesome I am looking forward to using them . Swivel on both ends of the downrigger snubbers. Not like scotty or amish brand . Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. Don't get me wrong I love the reel and the drag is fantastic. Absolutely love my forties on my downrigger rods. It just feels awkward with it being a smaller reel on a large rod. I think it would be fantastic on an 8-foot rod. Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I'm Sorry by too small I mean it feels uncomfortable on the rod . Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Is anybody using the Daiwa saltist 40 for wire . Last year I upgraded my trolling reels to Daiwa saltist 40s with 30lb mono for my downrigger rods and saltist 30s for wire. I find the 30s to be a bit small for the 10 foot rod. Is anybody using the forties with backing and wire for wire dipsies . I'm thinking of getting the 40's for wire and putting the 30s on my medium power spoon rods. Thanks to all Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  25. Thinking of making one last run with my dad Saturday. Is anybody doing anything in closer to shore other than circles in the harbor and combat fishing. Don't really want to go offshore for steelhead would rather fish for mature Kings. I know they're doing stuff in front of Salmon River but I don't have the temperament for that. Thank you to all Sent from my SM-A505U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
