What size are you guys using. I'm pretty sure the number 4 is the standard size and a 5 would be equivalent to a MAG Dipsy. Is that correct Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Just spooled up my new saltist with 30 pound big game for riggers and 30 pound wire for dipsy. What are you guys running for leader for each . Spoon rods , flashers and flys . Any snubbers on the dipsy. I usually run 50 pound big game leader on dipsy but didn't know if I should change that with my higher-end reels and better drags Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I believe the theory behind it is. When the probe is down in the water the water is much colder therefore the air that is trapped in the chamber is cooled. When you bring a probe to the surface and it's a hot summer day the air molecules heat up and can rapidly expand increasing the pressure inside the probe. I had a question on mounting the transducer last week so I call the factory. After getting my questions answered. The gentleman told me to make sure to unscrew the probe battery cap when done for the day . He said if you dont it will eventually crack from the pressure inside and that is not covered under warranty. Just putting it out there take it for what its worth. Any experience with these rods . I am looking for new dipsy rods and wondering if the talora is worth the extra 50 per rod over these . Thanks to all Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

So I bought a new x4 and in the instruction book . It said that the break away safety cable is only rated for 12 pound weights and if using anything heavier it is recommended to use a shock absorber snubber . Well I have 16 pound weights and snubbers already. So does that mean to use the break away cable and the snubber or just the snubber. Not very clear to me Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have to outboard motors so the fuel tank is below the motors. I understand how check valves work as I am in the plumbing trades. But I wasn't sure how the anti-siphon valve worked because that is what the dealer tried to sell me to tie both Motors in to 1 fuel line. I just wanted to get some info from other guys before I went and ordered all the parts. The anti-siphon valve that the dealer tried to sell me with threaded on one end and Barb on the other Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

When you guys say check valve is that the same as an anti-siphon valve. I'm actually in the process of trying to tie my new kicker Motor Inn to the main fuel line as well. Thinking of putting just manual shut offs. If this main fuel tank already has an anti-siphon valve at the pickup is it okay to put another one in line as well Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I need a new antenna for my new boat and radio. I seen the 8101 Shakespeare online for fifty bucks. What will I gain by going to the next one up for a hundred and twenty. I don't see what the difference is in antennas and what benefits I will get from the more expensive one. Any recommendations would be great Sent from my SM-J327V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
