  1. I have two big Jon downrigger swivel bases for sale or possible trade for rod holders. $100 Thanks Jeremy
  2. Do these launches fill up quick on the weekends?
  3. I want to trailer up to I-bay this Saturday 9/11. Weather permitting of course. Where do you guys suggest I launch from? I will be launching a 21' hardtop trophy. I hope to be launching just after light up. Thanks in advance. TD
  4. Well it just goes to show you accidents happen to everyone. We all have made a bad decision a time or two. But one hopes the more experienced you get the fewer you would make. I have mixed feelings on a boaters liscence NY already controls us enough. My thought is it would only end up being a way for them to generate more revenue then blow the money on wasted gov't overspending. Oh well this is a good reminder to us all to play it safe! TD
  5. Just a thought on this... I own a 9.9 Yamaha 4-stroke it needed a impeller change when I got it. I changed the impeller to find some rubber fins missing. I thought to myself wow I wonder where all the broken pieces go? I got it all back together to find out it pee's water better but still gets hot. I removed the thermostat and checked it's operation in a pot of water on the stove with a themometer it opened as advertised at 150 degrees. I ended up blowing compressed air into the thermostat housing down thru the head and...KAPOW!! out comes all the old rubber damaged impeller fins. It now pee's water like a fire truck. So lesson learned those "missing" fins could overheat your motor if not back flushed out of the system. TD
  6. Well Sorry to I am out as well. I have caught the big pond fever and am heading up to Sodus for the day. Good Luck to you all. TD
  7. Nick I had to go to Ervay's Saturday morning to get some parts. I did see that the keoke was gone from the Slip. I was a bit jealous. I am making sure my boat is up to par. I am heading up to Fair Haven tomorrow for week of camping and fishing. Can't wait Jeremy
  8. The family and I am heading up to Fair Haven to camp and fish for a week tomorrow. I fish seneca lake most of the time. I have been reading the reports lately. Looks like the 150-250 fow is the place to be. Any one willing to give me some starting locations to try? Maybe some landmarks on shore to look for and setup from? Any advice is appreciated and I thank you all in advance. TD............. Jeremy
  9. If you could post a pic of it it would help. I just put one on my merc 9.9 and the instructions said to mount the servo with the wheel facing toward the front of the motor. It was clearly not correct I had to mount it with the wheel facing the rear of the motor. If I would of followed the intructions it would have performed similiar to what you are saying yours does. hope this helps. TD
  10. I did get a little bit of time to use it. It is sweet! Super precise and cool too! TD
  11. Well I decieded to go with the Controllking unit. I ordered it from Cabelas pretty good price too. When I get to use it I will respond with my opinion on it. All the reviews are great about it. Jeremy
  12. Should I get forward controls for my 9.9 kicker or go with a troll-master throttle control? The price for the two is comparable. Would love to here some pros and cons on this subject. thanks, Jeremy
  13. Well I got a good deal today!! A 2007 Mercury 9.9 ProKicker long shaft, pwr trim/tilt electric start with a charging system all for $900 bucks! I could not pass it up. Thanks for the responses guys. Jeremy
  14. I was hoping for a slightly used one
  15. Wanted 9.9 hp 4 stroke motor.
  16. Yeah Its on the bottom of the lake!! Oh well it was a work phone anyway. They have given me a replacement since.
  17. Yeah the fish came slow I only boated maybe a dozen fish also. But it is great to see so many LOU boys on the leader board thats awesome!!
  18. I am selling my late 80's mercury 9.9 hp motor. Short Shaft. Runs good just cleaned and adjusted the carb. New impeller in it this spring. I want to upgrade to a 4-stroke so this ones gotta go. Thanks, Jeremy
  19. Overall had a great weekend. The fish came slow, to much sunshine! I ended up with the 3rd overall Lake Trout at 12.82lbs. Got to be happy with that. My Siser lead the Womens division most of the weekend and then got bumped the last day. A good friend and fishing partner SNYDER took some money home in the mens division. So the weekend was a blast. The fish did come hard. Had some fun talking to some of you guys. Hope every one had a good time. Jeremy
  20. Thought I would get a list going of everyone that is going to be at Sampson for the derby. I will be up there Thursday through Monday. Site 307.....Slip 12....Ch 68.... Stop over for a See yah all there! Jeremy
  21. I will out of Sampson slipped there and camping there. On Channel 68 TD
  22. I used to use a old penn 49 large spool reel. They are not line counter reels. I had beads tied in the main line at 50, 100, 150 ft. I used what ray is talking about the spring clips with bead chain swivels, makes pulling off leaders fast and easy. Worked very well. Kind of graduated from that technique though. I like the dipsy's, riggers and boards now. I will say Seth Green rigs do catch fish! TD
  23. Drained mine, only takes 5 minutes. My motor has petcocks so no tools even needed. Better safe than sorry! TD
