  1. I like the T-pin idea. I have been using a noodle for a couple years works well. TD
  2. Launched out of Severne wind held out till after 10 am. Went 12 for 15 ended up with 9 lakers 2 LL and 1 nice brown. Spin docs and flies, spoons were also taking fish. Brown was around 6.5 lbs. He put up a nice fight with a few out of the water leaps! Pretty good morning till the winds picked up. Can't wait for the derby Jeremy
  3. I am launching after work tomorrow also. I should be on the water around 2:45. Will be monitoring 68 at the south end. Give me a call if you are within range. TD
  4. One thing to consider the coated cable I believe will equate to more blow back. One of my riggers had coated on it when I got it. I measured the diameter of it much thicker than normal rigger cable. I removed it because I like the least amount of blow back I can get without going to extremely heavy balls. Also I did not need it because I have a fish hawk unit. TD
  5. I used a technique that is similiar to what is used on a bow string. I took dental floss and made small continues knots on the copper and than covered them in clear finger nail polish. Seems like it is going to work nicely. Oh and it is also I nice minty green color TD
  6. Just thought I would post some pics here. I know I was looking on here to see others mounting jobs. Mine posed a little problem with the transom having some slight angles on it. The pics don't show the small wedge shape spacers I am going to make under the lower sections of the aluminum tube. The tube is 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 aluminum tube that is 1/4" thick. All together is is going to be really rugged. TD
  7. Justin, I can relate to your situation. My trophy has a bow pulpit on it so you cant have the trailer to deep because it wont clear the front bow rubber. So I am stuck keeping the trailer out farther and strong arming the boat on. Kinda sucks but it works. I just today finished installing my new trailer bunks. We'll see this weekend how they work might even pull harder I hope not. I also just getting use to this boat only launched and recovered it twice so far!! TD
  8. I got an 89 only used twice this year since I got it, but I love it great fishing boat!! Not sure if I would like the hard top but so far it's great. TD
  9. Got my vinyl graphics made for the back of the boat. Overall happy with the job. I was not impressed to find out when it came time to pay for it, the guy threw in some hidden charges. Here is a proof of the job not the actual vinyl. The blue just simulates the back of my boat. Going to wait fort a hot day to apply it. TD
  10. Had a great morning on the water. Went 12 for 15 with a mix of LL and lakers. Caught fish every way possible...riggers, dipsy's, planer boards. Fished the East side caught all the fish up that side. Switched to the west side later morning never saw any bait or caught any fish there. Should have stayed on the East side Oh well. All in all a good morning on the water. Only the second trip out fishing with this new to me trophy, loving it. No problems so far and the extra room adds to the comfort level.. TD
  11. What have you guys found to be the best for cleaning off your fiberglass decks with? Something easy on the environment I hope, My deck is self bailing. I had some dried blood left on there from last trip and man that stuff is hard to get off once dried on there. I need a washdown hose as well any one have any input on these two subjects? thanks TD
  12. The shorelines on these finger lakes are tricky. A couple seconds of day dreaming at the wheel and your donating tackle to the bottom, or at least pullin up and cleaning the Zebra mussels off. There must be 6" of mussels lining the bottom of the lake!! TD
  13. Will be out tomorrow morning. Launching out of the south end. Will be on 68 if any one else is out. TD
  14. Got my boat slip rented today for the derby. I am going to be in slip # 12. Can't wait !!
  15. Went out to Ohio for some Maumee river walleye run fishing. Wow the run attracts alot of people. Some of thes pics were of last Saturday. If you fish it during the week the crowds are not as bad. I would love to fish it from a boat!! Maybe next year. TD
  16. Well I was gonna keep it now that I realized it will work for me. I really would like a long shaft though....
  17. Here's a pic of them in the fish box
  18. Well could not launch in the canal...Still to much ice. But I was able to launch at Village Marina. I was a bit concerned with how steep the launch is. The bow pulpit on the front comes really close to the winch frame on steep launches. All went well though. I was delighted first time out fishing with the new to me trophy and loved it. No problems it ran great. It appears to be light on gas. Just another added bonus. Fishing was extremely SLOW! Only 2 fish from about 10am till 3pm, but the first was over 7 lb Landlock. 2nd was probalby around 2-3 pound LL. Kind of figures though it is a High pressure condition weather relating. I did get a water line markes so now I can mount my kicker bracket and get my motor hung on there. Pics to follow... Jeremy
  19. Anyone know if the canal launch is free of ice? I like that ramp better than the village Marinas, there's is really steep. I guess I will find out tomorrow if no one responds by then. thanks, Jeremy
  20. Yeah West winds are not to bad. Its the North winds you wanna stay away from on Seneca! They can get the lake rolling pretty good. Brian what will you be fishing for Perch or trout/salmon? TD
  21. Going out this Sunday on Seneca. I will be on channel 68 if any one else is going to be out. I will be in a white and blue trophy hardtop. Going to try to launch at the south end, but may end up at Severne. See yah out there. Jeremy
  22. I enjoyed myself and came home with lots of goodies!! Thanks LOTSA guys. I am considering joining looks like a great program. Thanks again. Jeremy
  23. Where did you get the drop curtain work done? I got a 1989 that looks alot like that. I would like a drop curtain for mine. thanks. Jeremy
