  2. ditto on the 600' of copper. I would like 2 spools as well!! thanks, Jeremy
  3. I tried looking up mounting height info on the net myself. Best advice I read was to mount your kicker so when it is in the down position the high exhaust exit is 1" above the water line. This makes sense to me, because if you mount to low you could potentially swamp your kicker motor. I need to dunk my boat as well to get a water line before I mount my bracket. Come on warmer weather!! TD "
  4. Myself and SNYDER will be out there tomorrow as well. We will be in a white/red Grady White. Not sure where we are going to launch probably Severne. Maybe we'll see yah out there? TD
  5. I am trying to decide what planer board line to buy. Should I get the 135 lb or the 200 lb? Is there any advantages to running either? I also have heard that some people run heavy mono what is the advantage to that? Thanks in advance. TD
  6. I am still in. 6 pm
  7. hey, Ray what motor and outdrive does your boat have in it? TD i
  8. Lets here from you guys that run their I/O's during the winter. What do you do to prevent any freeze damage? I have a 3.0 I/O that I am running a 9.9 kicker on. If I was to only use my kicker on the water would or could their be any water in my main motor if I never ran it just had the out drive down for steering purposes? TD
  9. Nice size fish guys!! I am going to have to go soon to get my fix!!
  10. I'd probably be up for a
  11. Hey Tom are gonna have any 30lb wire on sale at the show? thanks, Jeremy
  12. I went and looked at this guys stuff, He has a really nice kicker bracket, to bad I already bought a omc bracket. I did buy a bunch of his spoons though. 2 bucks a piece not a steal but hey its the middle of winter what else is there better to do? The rods are not a bargain in my opinion. TD
  13. I did not get the kicker rod hooked up yet though I did get a good deal on one. The stainless version $25 on e-bay delivered!! So now I need to float the boat to get a water line so I can see where to mount the kicker bracket. Yeah my boat does have a large bow area to put the tank if I had to. The tank also does fit under the back to back seats on the passenger side. I would believe a over board vent would be called for since it is a hard top and I don't want to smell fumes all day fishing. I guess I got a few weeks at least! till it will be needed damn long winters.... TD
  14. My kicker is a two stroke. Trying to figure out where to put the tank in my boat. Any one have pics or creative ideas that you have done with your own setups? My thought was to maybe fab a bracket to mount on the transom. unfortunetly my boat does not have a swim platform on it to utilize. Any thoughts? TD
  15. My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family. TD
  16. I had a lowrance x96 in my old boat. Definetly not a high dollar unit and with only 1200watts of power it lacked what I desired. I used to notice sometimes it would lose bottom in really deep water like 250 plus. It also seemed to do this more often in colder conditions?? My trophy came with a Simrad EQ 33 sounder in it. Can't wait to use it in fishing conditions. Only got to use it when I water tested the boat. Have not fished out of the boat yet. COME ON SPRING!! TD
  17. I am in as well. I have only fished Cayuga a few times, might get lucky though!! TD
  18. Trolling82 I believe when you install the rod length you adjust it so the motors are parallel. Then you install the rod before launching. While under way with the I/O motor the kicker motor will be in the up postion with my OMC aux motor bracket. With the kicker up the distance will increase slightly but the kicker motor will just rotate a little on it's turning axis (Shis should not negatively effect to much?). Remember these rods have a Tie rod like ball swivel on both ends of them. Then when you lower the kicker to use it, the rod length will return to the right size and the I/O will run parallel to the kicker motor. Then when I pull out to trailer I will remove the rod assembly to raise the I/O to the full up position. Maybe I'll post some pics and let yah know how this works when I install it. Gonna be a while though cause I need to float the boat to get my transom waterline before I mount the OMC Auxillary motor bracket. TD
  19. I am not sure, the connecting rod has ball swivels on each end to allow for angle differences. I had a similiar set up on my last boat, but the connection was between two outboards on the front side not the back and that worked fine. We'll see how this works I am sure I can make it work if I have too. TD
  20. Wow, talk about being creative. Some of those colors look like my 1st graders art projects!! But who knows maybe some fish cannot resist good art work I did see a couple patters that I would try. TD
